I made my way toward where my grandmother sat, quietly slipping into the seat beside her and pulling her into a tight hug. Tears streamed down my face uncontrollably as I sobbed, unable to contain the overwhelming emotions that had consumed me.

"Language, young lady," my grandmother scolded gently, though her voice was filled with warmth and love.

"I'm sorry, Grandma," I managed between sobs. "I just... I don't know how you managed to make it to San Francisco. Did Uncle Brandon bring you here too?"
