It’s been 5 days. Alpha Archer was seated in his room, wondering when he was going to officially make Clarissa the Luna of his pack. He couldn’t wait anymore. His mother was the only one delaying the whole thing. He knew for a fact that he loved her so much and that was on period. He couldn’t think of another woman who could fill up his life as she did. She made everything so beautiful and amazing. She was his rock in more ways than one, and he was proud of her for that singular reason. There was nothing as beautiful as the care that she exuded.Archer sighed as he walked to the mini bar at the side of the room. He took one of the empty glass cups and poured a shot of gin into it. He drank it in one swoop. There were so many things that he needed to put in place, and that was the troubles he had come from. It was not fair that he had to think of so many things in a moment. Clarissa needed attention, and he was not there to give her that attention. Archer really felt bad about this. H
Later that day, Clarissa came back up the room. She noted that Ryan was leaving, and when she saw him, they smiled at each other. There was no bad blood towards him from her side, and honestly, she didn’t care about the majority of things, and one of those things was the present situation on the ground. Archer had been asking her what she thought about making a new legacy for Luna. She didn’t really care for that yet.Clarissa believed that he was rushing things too much, and trying to prove a point. Though, she didn’t know what point that was yet, she was positive that he wanted to create an impression by using her as bait.If he didn’t like some of the practices that Luna made then he had a choice to nullify them and make better decisions on the subject. Yet, he chose not to do so. Clarissa honestly didn’t care about the whole thing, and she was only trying to fit in because of him. If not, she had no business being here, and being a part of their home. She really didn’t care about
Who was calling right now? Archer groaned slightly as he sat up in bed. He pulled his hand slowly away from Clarissa and tried to grab his phone. It was sitting at the side of the door and he picked it up casually. The caller was his mom. Archer smiled slightly as he rolled out of bed, and walked over to the window. The morning sun was so refreshing on his skin, and he wanted nothing more than to have peace of mind at such a deadly time. He craved it so much. It hurt.“Mom?” He asked softly as he picked up the call. She sighed. “Yes, it’s your mother. How could you not call me even once to know how I was doing these few days? I’m always the one calling you every time. Yet, you answer the call like you have no idea that I’m the one. Jeez! How can you be so mean to me now?Archer sighed. He was feeling a bit bad, but it hadn’t completely been his fault because so many things had been happening that he needed to put under control. He wished that everything would be normalized so he coul
Clarissa and Archer sat down opposite each other at the dining hall as they dug into an apple smoothie and chicken rice with sauce. It was so delicious to Clarissa and she found that she was eating more than was required. Who could really blame her, it was a bit too much, and she liked the whole vibe of it.“It’s so good sitting here being silly, and trying to mind our business. I truly love it for us, and no matter what people say this is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I’m glad I met you, babe,” Clarissa said softly.Archer rose her brows at him. She honestly didn’t understand what he was talking about. Though, she was trying to do so. It was so weird all the things that were being said today and she wanted nothing more but for things to go on smoothly.“What do you mean by this statement? Are you saying that there are some people who don’t want us to be together right now?” Archer asked angrily.Clarissa bit her lips as she realised what she had said. She shouldn’t hav
Thunder rumbled all throughout the house and suddenly, lightning struck right outside of his room. “Oh, goddess, I hope it doesn’t strike right here.”The lightning struck right outside his room. It cracked like firecrackers in quick succession.Archer stopped dead in his tracks, feeling as though he’d seen something horrible. Then, slowly, he stepped away from the door. He stood staring at the door, feeling uneasy. He didn’t understand why he was so unnerved or what exactly he could sense. His instincts were telling him to run, but he shakes it away, and walked through the door. What he saw in the hallway shook his core. Clarissa sat there on the floor in front of the bedroom door with her knees tucked to her chest. Her long red hair fell over her face like silk in a dark waterfall and her eyes were closed shut tightly. A pool of blood dripped from her chest onto the carpet which appeared black in the gloom of the room. He stood there motionless at the sight of his wife’s lifele
ARCHERALPHA KING ARCHER sat on his golden throne, staring at the moon. His eyes were sunken and his expression pained. The glass roof above his head enhanced the illumination of the moon. He used to idolize the moon and its goddess but now, he held her in absolute contempt. She knew when he lost faith. She knew when he lost love. She knew when the hatred began but she did not care. She never did.Archer would watch others find their mates and have pups. His younger brother had two pups of his own.Archer glared at the moon.He did not care if it was sacrilege or disrespect. Nothing mattered anymore. He was going to die.Until now, Archer counted the days until his demise. Now he counted the hours. He knew it would not be long before the goddess decided to take him.His eyes flared at the thought of the goddess. She was never fair to him. Besides making him the strongest wolf in the land, she never did anything for him. The one thing he desired the most was kept hidden from him for cen
ARCHERTHE QUEEN MOTHER handed Archer some scrolls which he went through.King Anton was the fifth werewolf king and his reign was not the most peaceful one as he had recurring rogue issues throughout. During that time, rogues had not been given a portion of the werewolf land and were rebelling. The rogue Alpha threatened to take what the king held most valuable if he continued resisting their demands. King Anton refused to be swayed by his decision to not give them a part of his kingdom. That decision turned detrimental when his mate, the Queen, was taken by the rogue Alpha. King Anton tried all possible ways to find his mate but could not, as the rogues were in cohorts with the mages which helped keep them hidden.King Anton consulted a witch who told him about an ancient ritual which their ancestors had forgotten about. They called it the sacred binding. It was an ancient way of finding mates when a werewolf neared his prime without finding their mates. The witch handed the ancient
ARCHERSHUTTING HIS EYES, Archer took a deep breath before releasing it and opening his eyes. He then looked at Benjamin."What if I can't?"Fear was not a strange word to Archer and neither was uncertainty. One thing Archer would never admit is the fact he was scared. Not just unsure or worried. He was afraid of the darkness he knew was inside him. The darkness was slowly turning him feral. He did not want to feed it even more and he knew that stepping into that library would be the tip that would push him over the edge.Archer suddenly chuckled but it was without humour."You know, I used to see my father as the strongest Wolf in the land. I thought he was invincible and unable to get hurt."However, seeing him in a lifeless state made me realize that even the strongest of persons can feel fear," he said then paused and took another deep breath before continuing."I can never forget the scared look on his face. It seemed like he knew what was coming but could do nothing about it. Fea
