Chapter 41 - A Glimpse

I have never attended any meeting in my life other than the meeting that I had with Ethan while I was with Stefan before. It was the first that Stefan allowed me to attend only because he wanted to show me off.

But even then, I was just seated on the sides never considered to be part of his group unless he asked me to be.

Ethan is different.

Instead of sitting behind him, I was seated beside him on one side Fiona was seated on the other side while Lucas was standing at the back. People look at us and for the first time, I was afraid that they might recognize who I really am.

I felt strong hands squeezing mine and found Ethan’s big hands wrapping my super clammy and sweaty hands.

‘Calm down,’ Ethan whispered calmly, ‘No one will recognize you.’

I looked at him but he was looking elsewhere.

I released my breath I didn’t know I was holding and looked ahead, only to be surprised to see that Stefan was looking directly at me.

‘I think Stefan knows,’ I said as I looked away. I can’t
