Chapter 47 - A New Beginning

My head hurt so bad that it took me a hard time opening my eyes.

“Don’t move too much,” Raja ordered. “Or else you’ll break a lot more bones than you already did.”

I stopped moving but opened my eyes. I let my eyes roam around but since I can’t move I can only see the ceiling.

“Where am I?” I asked.

“In a place you don’t need to know,” Raja replied before touching my leg, twisting it in a way that I ended up screaming.

“What the hell, Raja?” I asked angrily as the pain lingered on my leg.

“Oh, I’m sorry,” she replied. “Does it hurt?”

I bit my lip to avoid talking back at her for fear that she would just hurt me more.

“What’s wrong with you?” I asked, “Are you mad at me?”

I waited for Raja to answer but instead of answering me, she took a very deep breath.

“So, are you just going to pretend I don’t exist?” I asked trying to prompt her to answer me.

“You, Violet, no longer exist,” her reply was soft and sad but even so, this time I remained quiet.
