Chapter 25

Henry was now living with us, yet when it grew very late, I told him to go eat and rest. It wouldn’t work trying to train me all night anyway, and I could see from how Willow was yawning that we were just going around in circles, and we were all exhausted. While I had improved my speech a bit, it was definitely going to take some practice before it became really good. I was still a bit unsure why I did all of this as I went to sit in front of Willow. However, as I sat down, I noticed the smile on her lips, and just seeing that made the whole training session worth it.

“You have never had to charm the women you slept with?” she suddenly asked me.

“Henry is right. It wasn’t charm that led them to me. Sometimes I barely had to speak.”

Willow shook her head and sighed.

“Jealous?” I teased her, making her look annoyed at me.

"No, I just thought about how easy things came to you,” she told me.

“You’re right. They did come easy, but things are different now.”
