Murder Attempt

As I walked toward the agreed meeting point with Adam, I couldn't shake off the feeling of relief that the school day was over. The sun was dipping low in the sky and casting a warm golden glow over everything, and I was looking forward to spending time with Adam, who was already standing about thirty meters away, waving at me.
