Attack Approaching

Adam's POV

I drove Lyra through the narrow tracks other towering woods towards the house where I grew up. Birds sang from the treetops, and the air was filled with the familiar earthy scent of pine. The old house stood on the edge of a clearing, its timeworn exterior giving it a sense of history and mystery. As we approached the front door, I turned to Lyra with a soft smile.

"Welcome to my childhood home, Lyra. There are so many memories here, some good, some not so good, but all precious to me," I said, gazing at the familiar structure with a mix of emotions.

" Oh, I see," Lyra stated, trying to comprehend what I said.

"Come, I'll show you around," I continued as I opened the creaking door, leading her into the cozy yet eerie interior.

We explored room after room, I shared anecdotes of my childhood as we moved from place to place. I stopped in front of a large painting of a woman, her eyes sparkling with kindness.
