Chapter 14: Betrayal

The last few days have been a blur.

Something new occurs every day; it starts with the dark library, then moves on to my room that has been vandalized, my misspelled locker, and the subliminal taunting messages I get every morning when I wake up.

After being discharged from the hospital last week, I was told to take the week off. It helped, though, because I am feeling better mentally than I was a week ago.

I thank the goddess for my wolf and friends, Ash and Aly. I do not know how I would have managed everything that has been going on without them.

I looked outside my window— it was a very sunny Saturday, and I was happy that there was no school today. I lay down on my bed, remembering the good times I had with my parents—I really miss them.

With a groan, I lazily saunter out of bed. I drag my padded feet into the bathroom, where I stare at my bloodshot eyes, dark circles underneath, and pale skin. I have never looked more revolting in my life.
