Chapter Three

Eleanor paused for a while - was he listening to the radio show? Did he still listen to the radio show?

“Yes,” She quietly affirmed.

“Roth is disturbed about something, right?”

“No,” Eleanor knitted her eyebrows, “His work is going great, we had sex just last night, why would he be disturbed …” Eleanor realized she had spoken too much the moment that sentence escaped her lips.

There was silence on the other end, before Tristan said, his voice on the verge of breaking, “You?”

Eleanor shrugged, the cat was already out of the bag, so she said calmly, “Yes, Me and Roth are dating now.”

“Oh, okay, good luck,” The hurt in Tristan’s voice melted Eleanor’s heart for him. He was once her best friend, and she knew how much he loved Roth. But, after seeing him that day with another man, she had figured that his feelings for Roth must have gone away.

Tristan’s call inquiring about Roth had come as a shock to Eleanor, “Tristan,” Se said softly, “Do you still care about Roth?”

The line was quiet for so long that Eleanor would have thought that it had gone dead had she not heard another man’s cheerful voice after a while in the background saying, “Baby, surprise, guess who’s home early!”

“I have to go, Eleanor,” Tristan’s rushed voice and then the line did go dead.

Eleanor frowned at the phone for several minutes, as Roth, oblivious to the entire situation, continued to speak, “Incorporating a sensual tantric massage into your repertoire can be super sexy. It's a little complex to go into, however, so be careful.”

Eleanor looked at him behind the glass thoughtfully. Was he disturbed? What had led Tristan to think that Roth sounded disturbed, and he not only thought that, he was certain to the point that he had called Eleanor to inquire.

She started paying attention to his voice behind his words, “If you're in a long-term partnership, bringing in some novelty is key, when it comes to achieving a sex life that sustains the same thrill as when you first got together. One way to make you feel better in bed is by knowing which positions work for you – and so which to instigate.”

Roth was more serious than usual, she observed. She had been a devoted listener to the radio show for years, and never had Roth’s voice sounded so monotonous. Tristan was right, she admitted inwardly, something was off about the sex doctor that day.

Tristan turned to face Oliver, his face going white as if he had just been caught in a crime. The phone slipped out of his sweaty palms, the sex doctor radio show having resumed right after the call ended.

Oliver carefully observed Tristan’s expression, “What is the matter, Tristan? You look worried.”

Tristan scoffed, trying to form words to deny that, but no words came out of his throat, so he just mockingly shook his head. A frown line appeared on Oliver’s forehead as he neared Tristan, placing a hand on Tristan’s shoulder, picking up his phone from the table with the other hand.

Tristan watched him in panic, even though he had nothing to worry about. He had not even done anything wrong, then why was he freaking out.

Oliver was now checking his recent calls, loosening the tie around his neck. Taking a look at that, confusion appeared on his face, then he pulled down on the notification bar, before bursting out laughing, handing the phone back to Tristan.

“You are just embarrassed because you are listening to the sex doctor radio show,” Oliver was now bringing his face close to Tristan’s, “Oh baby, you are so adorable.” He kissed Tristan’s forehead, sniffing Tristan’s hair.

“I’ll go freshen up, then we’d eat together, okay?” Tristan softly smiled, nodding, inwardly grateful that he hadn’t called Roth earlier because then Oliver would have wanted to know whose contact number that was.

He had not told Oliver about the intensity of his feelings for Roth. He had just told him the superficial details, and now, he did not want Oliver to find out that he still thought about Roth sometimes.

And that the radio show that he so religiously listened to, was not because of its contents, but because of the voice of that man that still managed to send vibrations through his sternum, making his heart flutter.

Tristan decided to play along with Oliver’s embarrassment theory, because he could not risk Oliver finding out that he was not embarrassed, he was panicked because for a second his body hadn’t registered that there was no need to be panicked because no one knew that Roth Dimitri was the sex doctor.

Roth’s voice played in the background as Oliver entered the living room again, “Does your partner enjoy when you get a bit bossy in bed? Tell them what you are about to do to them, and have them repeat what you say. Whisper ‘I’m going to lick your right nipple now, and then bite it softly. Ask them 'What am I going to do?’ and have them repeat it back to you. This is also a great way to get into talking dirty, which has its own delights.”

Tristan was so immersed in his thoughts that he didn’t notice Oliver entering the room. He was not necessarily paying attention to Roth’s voice either, “Many men who think they suffer from premature ejaculation actually don’t. The average time from penetration to orgasm for a man is averaged at 5-7 minutes. If you want to prolong this (and spice things up at the same time) try 'edging'.”

Oliver was now walking up to Tristan, Roth’s voice still going on, “Never heard of it? Edging is the practice of stopping yourself from reaching orgasm. While this might sound counterintuitive, it can actually lead to longer and more satisfying orgasms. If you, or they, feel close to orgasm, stop sexual stimulation and wait about 30 seconds, before continuing. Repeat this until you’re ready to orgasm, which can elongate the time between stimulation and ejaculation. It also makes things hella hot, too.”
