Vivienne's POV: "What happened?" The words flung out of my lips as I couldn't think of what else to ask. "What happened to my pack when they got here?" I balled my first. I was angry. There was no sense in her killing them. "I know you didn't kill all of them." She clearly took the survivors away someplace. The woman I once thought that I could never compare to and still agree with... sat down in front of the window in a red velvet chair. She crossed her arms and pushed her black cloack over her knees and smoothed the cloth. Her posture was well defined where she sat. Lamia's stileto signature heels pointed like fangs into the hardwood floors and created a puncture. I held a gaze with her but my eyes couldn't help spot the bloodstair hiding in the crook of her red lipstick smirk. "This reminds me of the first time I saw you," she said as she looked to the floor. "but, you're not waking up from being overdosed. You're here under new circumstances. You can at least say hello. Are we no
Brendon's POV: I took the trailsinto the forst to the boarders of Lamia's territory. My only thoughts focused on saving Vivienne. She's my whole world now. There's nothing I want better then to find her alive still and save the day. I want to kiss her over and over and tell her I love her to the moon and back. Because, that's how far I'd go for her. I would go there all nine lives and come back to see her beautiful face. And our future children. And their future children. 'I'm coming, Vivienne... I'm coming. Just wait a little longer.'I knew she couldn't hear me but I decided to talk to myself. To keep from the thoughts of loosing Steele to talk to. I would have kept marching forward but the forest seemed to move in front of me before I could reach the borders. I instantly caught a glimpse of wolves in the distance. I hid quickly under the shelter of a heavy brush. I decided to keep quiet if I was going
I checked my phone to see what time it was. I had just pulled into a gas station to fuel up. I've been driving for a good five hours, dead set on only stopping to get gas. I was headed to my hometown. I still had another hour until I'd be home. I was going to be late. I checked the price of gas and almost snarled. "That's almost four dollars, you got to be kidding me," I hissed sourly through my teeth. Did gas get more expensive as I drove home or what? My phone buzzed with a text from dad, call me. I rolled my eyes but hit the window on the car to see Mal practically jump as I woke him up. He had been resting in the back with drool getting on the window. I opened the door to give him the phone. "Here, call dad while I pump gas." "Huh? Where are we?" He asked grogily but took the phone from me. "We're an hour outside of town. Just let him know we're ok," I told him. "Are we running late? What have you been doing this whole time, Viv? Driv
"Viv?!"Malakai's voice shouted in shock.I mean, he's in as much shock as I am. But he was looking a bit upset at me. Like I was here to ruin his fun. But, before getting the wrong idea... let me explain the situation. It wasn't Mal who was making out with my soulmate... No, It was my other brother Cole. The three of them are smoking pot and sitting on the edge of the water fountain. This area was closed off from the rest by hedges and it was quiet over here. And to top this off, my soul mate just so happens to be- I smelled the air as I looked them over. Beta Emmett. AKA Cole's long-term boyfriend by four years now. F.O.U.R. Years. Yeah, four years. That means this JERK off started dating someone when I LEFT THE PICTURE!? I felt a growl erupt from my throat. I mean sure... we both didn't know... BUT STILL! A-and I've known the two of them had a thing for each other for so long now I was the one fooled into thinking they were soulmates.
Mal remained by my side as I found myself in the pack house's kitchen. I leaned over the counter, dry heaving. My whole body was shaking from what I just done. You would think I was on the other end of rejection. "Here, please drink this," Mal said as he handed me a bottle of water. "You should probably hydrate." I took the bottle and downed it with just a few gulps. I tossed the bottle into the recycle bin. My heart felt like a thousand knives entered it... but I was still standing. I was trembling. "Can I drive you home?" Mal asked with a concerned voice. I shook my head and looked him in the eyes."No, Honestly I just want to take a bottle out to the woods and be alone." I started to empty my pockets, handing them over to him. "Can you take the car home?"Mal was awkwardly putting away my things into his pockets as he avoided making eye contact now."V-Viv, are you sure you want to go alone?""I have Arwen," I assu

'Wake up,' Arwen's voice echoed through my sore and throbbing mind. My throat was open wide when I woke up, drooling onto the pillow beneath me. I licked my dry lips and looked around to find myself in a stranger's bedroom. My body was freezing cold- but the heat coming from beside me told me I wasn't alone. I looked over my shoulder at the big spoon wrapping its arms around me. Who the hell is he?I don't recognize those cute freckles poudered lightly on his nose. The brown curls wildly spead out and covering his other facial features. I don't- I smelled him then. Alpha?"Alpha Brendon?" I asked softly in alarm. He didn't hear me as he continued to snooze. I couldn't budge from the grip he had around my waste. My heart was pounding in my chest now. We're both naked. Is this his room?'You don't remember?' Arwen asked me and I could hear the amusement in her voice."What don't I remember?" I asked softly.'Well you d
While I was stuck with a little Toyota Corolla, ALPHA Brendon was driving the latest Ford Mustang. My jaw dropped as we walked up to it parked in the pack's garage. This was only for designated family vehicles. He dressed up nicely too. He was wearing cologne that took away from his apple-cinnamon scent but it didn't take away from his looks. He had on sweatpants and a tank top. Obviously he planned to match my lazy look I had on. But damn... he still somehow managed to rock his outfit. He got the passenger's door for me and when I got in I almost cried from how nice it was compared to mine. I tensed up as he asked, "So, where do you live?""Uh-Ummm," I blushed as I shamefully couldn't remember the way. I'd have to explain now who my father was in hopes he'd know where the manor was... or have him on his phone."You also haven't told me what your name is," he chimed in as he waited. I looked down into my lap. I can't believe this. This is so embarassing. I'
