Prologue

MAXWELL

My sister left three months ago. I already miss her and I just can't help but to hope that she's fine.

"Mr. Ducanni, Mr. Sy is waiting in the conference room," my secretary said.

I just nodded and head my way to the conference room.

"Good day Mr. Ducanni." A businessman greeted me with a Chinese accent. How should I say that without sounding racist?

"Where's the proposal?" I asked him. I have no time for a meet and greet. I'm here for business matters.

My secretary handed the proposal and then I started scanning the whole document. I couldn't help my self but to raise a brow.

He looks confident. I guess he doesn't know how to work a business with me.

"Mr. Sy, I'm sure you know how the business works, right?" He smirked as if I said something funny. "How my business works?" Pagtatama ko.

"I know, young man. That's why I am here proposing to buy your shares in the gun industry."

"You're too young and naive, young man. You're too young for this kind of business."

Hindi ako natinag sa aking pagkakaupo. I am not called ruthless for no reason. I crossed my legs and nodded, giving my secretary the sign. He went for a bit and came back shortly after.

"Mr. Sy, do you now know how my business works?" Nakita ko ang pamumutla nya. "Now, how about you drop the gun?"

"I must say you have a beautiful daughter Mr. Sy."

My secretary handed some documents to Mr. Sy.

"All I need is your signature. That's all."

"Dad," the daughter said.

What a drama.

I held the girl's face and traced down the gun through her lips.

"It wouldn't hurt to do this a little bit faster? You know, I don't like waiting." I said while brushing the tip of the gun on the girl's lips.

She's started crying loudly.

"Silence!" Bulong ko na lalong nagpanginig sa kanya.

"Okay, okay, I will sign this." Mabilis nyang pinirmahan ang mga dokumento.

The document states that he's willingly giving his underground business to my authority.

"Good."

"Escort them." Malamig na utos ko. Tumayo silang dalawa at nagsimulang maglakad palabas ng conference room.

"Before that..." I paused a bit. "I don't want to see your face again. Do you understand?"

He didn't bother to answer and just left the room silently. He should be thankful. I didn't kill him. I'm trying to be nice and this is nicest thing I could ever done.

This is how I live. I need to pull down all the possible threats and that includes the businesses and the organization.
