Chapter 41 Enter Evan

“Stop the car here,” Heather said when Daniel’s car was still some distance away from her house.

“I can drive you to your entrance.”

“I don’t want my parents to see you,” Heather mercilessly said.

Daniel tightly clenched his steering wheel as his heart was once again broken by Heather’s words. He stopped the car and said, “I’ll be waiting for you here.”

Daniel was too masculine of a man to put on such an aggrieved look.

Heather frowned as she brought Jeremi out of the car.

“Why won’t you let the big monster go to Grandpa’s house with us?”

“Because Grandpa and Grandma both despise him.”

“Do you like him then, Mommy?”

Heather was stunned for a moment before she shook her head. “I don’t like him either.”

Jeremi rolled his eyes and shrugged, thinking that the big monster was rather pitiful because nobody liked him aside from himself.

After a while, Heather knocked on the door. When the living room’s door was opened, Deanna was left dumbfounded, and she almost started to cry.

“Who’s that?”
