“Hara…wakeup...”
An unfamiliar voice woke Hara up from her deep slumber.
Opening her eyes, she saw nothing but darkness and her body was oddly cold and numb.
Furthermore, she felt like she was floating on air.
“W-who are you?”
Hara sat up, but no matter how hard she squinted, she still couldn’t see through the dark.
It was ridiculous and illogical.
But, Hara felt that she and that person seemed to have some kind of bond.
“I’m a wandering spirit, and I’ve chosen you as my host. Coincidentally, I was also called Chihara. You can call me Rara.”
“What if I don’t agree?”
“You can’t. The Universe has agreed to let me be a host of your body. I’ve been waiting for centuries to be reborn. I can’t waste any more of my time. I must get my revenge!”
“What about me?” Hara frowned.
“You? You will stay here. But you don’t have to worry. After I wake up, I will surely avenge you for your wrongful death. You can consider this as my payment to you for hosting your body.”
Hara was stunned.
She’s...dead?
“I... I’m dead?”
Hara touched the back of her head and retracted her hand when she felt something wet on her hand.
She couldn’t see it. But, she could feel, and she could smell.
Now, she could smell the cold blood on her hand. It was as if her blood had dried up after her body was left unbreathing for several hours.
Recalling Arabella’s action, Hara clenched her hands hard as her eyes darkened.
“I merely had a crush on your boyfriend...and...you killed me?” she scoffed.
Rara snickered, “You poor soul. You’ve truly met a wolf in sheep’s cloth. Fine. Fine. Enough recalling. I want to wake up now.”
“Wait!”
“Tch, what else do you want?”
“Please take care of my parents...”
“Fine...fine! Don’t say this embarrassing thing to me. You and I will share this body, but I’m the one who controls it and you...take care of our memories inside!”
***
Rara opened her eyes to see a black hoodied man hovering over her.
No. Wait.
He’s kissing her forehead!
‘Hara, quick! Slap me!’
<You idiot! Wake up and slap him! Don’t let him harass my body!>
However, Rara was enchanted.
His breath fanned over her.
His scent made her turn into a muddle, and it made her want to stay with him.
What’s more, his soft lips felt so right on her forehead.
All of a sudden, her heart began to race.
Maybe it's because he wears an attractive aura around him?
“Ahem!” she cleared her throat.
She didn’t even try to shove him away or shout at him.
His presence made her feel comfortable and secure. She didn’t feel threatened at all.
He didn’t say anything nor show his face to her. Instead, he storms out of the room in a flash.
Her mouth is shaped into an O form in awe—a look of shock is printed on her face.
‘Holy shit! Did you see that? What is he? Is he a vampire?’
<Stop cursing and wake up.>
‘No one can move that past. This hoodie guy’s movements look like a vampire who can move very fast because of their supernatural power.’
‘Is he a supernatural?’
Shrugging her shoulders, Rara sat up and recalled everything about what had happened to Hara in the last few hours.
After recalling it, Rara chuckled bitterly.
‘Say, Hara. Do you know about magic?’
<I don’t do magic. I never believed it.>
‘Tch! You’re no fun...’ Rara grumbled.
A knock from the door snapped her out of her mind.
“Come in.”
A woman who looked like she was in her 30th walked inside the room.
“How are you feeling?” she asked sweetly.
Rara touched the back of her head, and her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
She recalled that Hara’s head had bumped into the ground.
Hard.
Wasn’t there supposed to be a bump or hole and blood on her head?
Not satisfied, she hit her left ribs with her hand.
Weird. It doesn’t hurt.
Rara gave the woman a confused stare, wanting an explanation.
“You’re lucky, you know, to have a mate like him.” she looked at Rara with admiration in her eyes.
“What do you mean?”
Rara raised her finger before she could answer, “Wait, how long has it been since I passed out?”
“Only three hours. It’s a good thing that the master found you outside the gate.”
Her eyes widened in shock.
So, the hoodied guy is her saviour, and she hasn’t even thanked him.
‘Hey, people outside are really heartless. They could watch a murder take place and let go.’
Hara gave her no response.
“He’s the one who heals you,” she said in a low voice.
“H-heal me?” Rara asked in bewilderment.
She nodded.
‘But how is that possible?’
Her mind twirls.
‘How can a person heal a dead person like me?’
‘What’s more shocking is I healed in only 3 freaking hours!’
‘No way.’
< Isn’t it supposed to be like this? Wasn’t my body supposed to heal up after being reborn?>
‘No. Usually, a reborn will still have an injury to their body.’
<Maybe, he really was a vampire...>
‘Tch! How is that possible? He only kissed my forehead-’
< That’s my body!>
‘What do you know? Anyway, we don’t know if he had done something else when we were asleep. ’
<What do you mean?>
‘Perhaps he had bitten me on the neck and claimed me as his mate...’
<Ew! Ew! Ew! Stop thinking! I could see it! Pervert!>
“Can I go back now?” Rara asked after she snapped out of her daze.
“No one can leave before tomorrow.” sighing heavily, she urged Rara to come to the party.
“What time is it now?”
She looked at her watch “10 minutes before midnight. The dance, quick!”
Then, she helps Rara fix her makeup and put her in a new dress that looks like the previous dress.
Such a shame that the expensive dress given by the stranger had been torn and dirtied.
“You’re pretty and smart. You’re a perfect match for the master.”
Rara coughed at her words.
“So, what’s his name?”
“His name is Xav-okay, done!”
She helps Rara to her feet before she pushes her out of the door.
‘What the hell?’
Rara looked around and saw the castle gate. After standing in mere silence and darkness, she decided to join the Prince's party with her heart throbbing in pain.
Well, it does feel weird to go alone.
The words suck the air out of her lungs.
Biting her lip, she inhaled before gritting her teeth and walking in from the entrance when the guard pushed the door open.
This time, Rara didn’t forget to show them Hara’s invitation card that was still stuck in her little white pouch.
Walking further inside the ballroom, Rara ignored the stares people gave her.
A girl in a blue waitress dress approached her and gave her a glass of red wine.
“Thank you.”
She nodded slightly and smiled at her before walking away.
Rara walked towards the middle of the huge ballroom and sipped her wine while looking around.
< I’m curious about the Queen of the day, who must have been chosen by now.>
Rara looks over and saw a shocking scene, the throne in front is empty!
She became worried when a few people kept turning their heads to look at her.
She sipped her wine once more in nervousness, leaving it in half.
However, Rara became more uncomfortable as the room fell silent at once.
Stopping in the middle of the crowd, Rara drank the wine down her throat.
Her eyebrows furrowed when she felt a cold metal touching her lips.
She lowered the glass, and the sound of metal falling back into the glass echoed around the ballroom.
Rara looked at the glass in surprise.
‘Holy shit! It’s a ring! The Queen’s ring!’
<My god...you...how can you make trouble the first time you are reborn?!>
‘Don’t ask me! How would I know this creepy ring would choose me! It must be you!’
The crowd gasped and started muttering things to each other, making Rara tremble slightly.
A figure appears in front of her before a large male hand took the ring and slides it to her ring finger.
“My Queen.”
Rara froze in her place when she saw Prince Ariel standing in front of her.
‘My dear ancestor, bless me... ’
Prince Ariel took Rara’s hand before he bowed and kissed the back of her hand. Rara blushed when he chuckled at her frightened face. “May I dance with you, my Queen?” Rara nodded and tried to smile as best as she could. Her belly turns upside down at the change of situation. She shut her mouth and bit her lips as hard as she could to stop the anxiety crawling down her spine. However, her palm was turning cold, and she could feel the cold sweat sliding down her back. The music played, and the hall was full of people dancing here and there. They swayed following the music rhymes. Rara lowered her head. She doesn’t have the urge to look up. So, she just stared at Prince Ariel’s chest the whole time. “Look up.” Prince Ariel ordered. He had noticed that this woman was trying to avoid his gaze all the time. It was his first time to be treated like this by some unknown woman. Usually, women like her would flock
Rara spent her time reading the story of Haguar’s Kingdom, the country currently ruled by King Magdon. So far, Rara found out that other than the great Haguar, another four great kingdoms were currently in line with Haguar’s power. No 5: That being Kaca’s Kingdom which is ruled by King Sudu Noops. He was a man in his sixties with five wives. The first wife is his military commander, Queen Pir Retaw. She gave him a son, Prince Ing Sudu. Prince Ing then married a lady from a middle-class Kingdom named Duchnie Blea Gin, Duke Gin Agu’s daughter, Ginira’s Kingdom ruler. Duchnie Blea gave birth to Princess Bliss Ing. The second wife is a spoiled beauty princess of the Mon Kingdom, a middle-class Kingdom, Consort Ney Yemon. She gave him a daughter, Princess Liney Sudu, which disappoints him. So, she decided to give up her beauty and gave him a son, Prince Coi Sudu. The third, fourth and fifth fiv
“Your highness, please forgive her!” sensing that the situation was about to get worse, Prince Ariel immediately stood up and bowed towards the queen. Consort Watelonu’s face turned ugly, seeing her son bowing to the queen. Her eyes flickered towards Rara in contempt for a second, revealing a look of anger and hatred. Rara bit her lips and kept her head lowered, not daring to look up and face those accusing eyes. ‘It’s your fault! Why did you remind me of home?!’ <It’s not me. It’s you! You’re the one controlling my body! Look at the mess you've made! My god! Can we still go home now?!> Hara jumped around anxiously inside the space as she nagged and nagged. ‘Stop.’ <Oh my god! We’re gonna die-> ‘Stop!’ <Are we going to be executed in front of the public? (Gasp) Perhaps they want to hang us and fed us to the wild do
Rara gritted her teeth when once again, the cute looking guard who had a white pendant tied to his belt-pushed her. “You-! Don’t go too far! It’s already good for you that I’m willing to be cuffed! There’s no need to push me around! I know how to walk!” Rara’s cheeks were puffed like a Bubble Eye fish. “Stupid woman...” the green pendant guard muttered under his breath, but his words still reached Rara’s ears. Rara stopped and turned towards him as she looked at him with anger. What happened next was too unexpected. “Ahhhh!” a roar shook the castle awake. “Assistant Bear!” the guards looked at the frighten green pendant guy in shock. “Assistant Panda...Chief Lisun...help me...” The two people who were still in a dazed immediately reacted after hearing their names called out. Assistant Panda tried to pull Rara away from Assistant Bear by her hands while Chief Lisun hold onto Rara’s jaw and tried his best to remove
Rara waited and waited for the old man to come back in vain. A few hours after the old man was dragged away, Assistant Panda came to fetch her from the prison. Rara was surprised at this and felt a little bit suspicious. Why did they let her out? What? Are the king and queen really that kind to let an unknown girl like her to escape from punishment? Hmm...interesting. However, she couldn’t help but felt a bad premonition in her heart. Could it be that...something happened to the old man? She hasn’t asked what happened to him! Assistant Panda brought her out of the mansion and into the waiting black car outside the palace gate. “Where are we going?” Rara asked as she tried to look out of the window. “We’re going to watch a show.” Assistant Panda answered coldly. Rara curled her lips in dissatisfaction. What show is so important that she has to be present along w
“Enough!” Chief Lisun scolded him. Assistant Panda lowered his head as he hid his tail between his legs and looked at Chief Lisun with a wronged look. “Who are they?” Rara nodded to the people scattered on the field. Some of them was chatting happily while others stood like a frozen statue and observed everything. Chief Lisun pointed towards a group of people dressed in the same uniform with Birds Feather Hat on their head and white line marks of tribals on their face and other visible parts of their body. “They are the one who will perform the ritual today, The White Tribals family. Other than them, there are also The Black Tribals, The Red Tribals and The Green Tribals. They would take turns on performing the rituals by red, green, black and white.” “Beside them are a bucket of tiger’s blood to circle the stone and the prisoner to build a barrier between him and us. Other than that, they also brought some gong to accompany the
Chief Lisun finally let go of her waist and try to pull her claws away from his neck. However, Rara’s eyes were bleeding red, and she had no intention to let go of him either. So, Chief Lisun was left with no choice but to use brute force to deal with her. Gripping both of her wrists tightly, he gritted his teeth and pulled Rara’s hand away from his neck, hard, leaving a five-line of scratches on each side of his neck. By now, the tribe’s family had formed a circle around the stone using the tiger’s blood and was now playing the gong as they danced and circle around the stone with a strange movement. Both low and high cultivation could see the transparent shield that was now imprisoning him. Seeing this, Rara was more agitated than ever. Before Chief Lisun could react, she had kicked him hard on his stomach. This force him to let go of her and step back a few meters away. He was about to step forward to stop her again when he fel
Chief Lisun stopped at the big tree trunk that had been modified into a bench. He removed his coat and covered Rara with it before sitting down on the bench with her leaning on his shoulder as she continued to sleep. Seeing this, the king was enraged, but he was tongue-tied with the incident today, so he just gave Chief Lisun a glare. Assistant Panda who was standing beside Chief Lisun, wiped the sweat on his forehead when he saw the king’s unsatisfied glare. He really couldn’t figure out why Chief Lisun was so daring as to approach this wild woman. No, not any wild woman, but a serious kingdom offender! Haguar’s kingdom and the other kingdoms have sworn to kill any supernatural that appeared in their country. However, no matter how many times they tried to hunt down the supernatural’s main base, they couldn’t find it. Seeing that the ritual was completed, everyone was ready to leave. The king gave Chief Lisun a g
