chapter 1
Alexander POV
I watched the 18-year-old boy step on the makeshift stage and stand beside his father who wore a bright smile on his face. Both the males wore white tuxedos with one blue rose on their front pockets as a tradition.
The older man fixed his mic before starting his last speech as an Alpha. "Firstly, I would like to thank Alpha Alexander King for accepting our invitation and coming to my son's Alpha's ceremony. Today, we all have gathered here for Liam's official Alpha ceremony and introducing Christy Lynn as your Luna."
As the old man continues his speech I am taken back to the day of my own Alpha ceremony.
I stood beside my dad in a white tuxedo with a blue rose tucked in my chest pocket as a tradition while the evening sunrays streamed down the pack grounds forming a golden hue. We both resembled a pair of twins with the same deep honey brown eyes, thick raven hair, plump lips, straight nose, high cheekbones, and a 6'1 tall frame with a slightly muscular build. The only difference was the grey ends in his hair and slight wrinkling of the skin.
My mom stood on the other side of my dad wearing a white knee-length dress with a blue ribbon around her waist. I then focus on my pack members while my dad begins his last speech as an Alpha. "I am honored to serve my people for so long however now it's time for a new Alpha. My son Alexander King turned 18-years-old a month ago and today I would like to officially announce him, the Alpha of Blue Moon Pack."
Every pack member roared in unison and the ceremony began minutes later. Dad sliced his palm with a dagger and I repeated the same process after him. We both joined our palms as dad started reciting the oath. "I, Zane King, the Alpha of Blue Moon Pack announce Alexander King as the new Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack. Do you Alexander King pledge to protect your people?"
I look at my dad straight in the eyes before saying the words that would change my life forever. "Yes, I, Alexander King, pledge to protect my people at any cost. I accept the title of Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack."
As the words escaped from my mouth the pack members howled in acceptance while I felt a surge of power run through my blood as my palm began to heal.
I snap out of my memory when I hear the wolves howling in acceptance. I look at the makeshift stage to see the former Alpha smiling proudly at his son.
"You were remembering your own Ceremony, weren't you?" I turn to the voice by my side, towards my Beta slash best friend Lucas, and simply nod while we both smile fondly at the memory.
"Yeah, these ceremonies always remind me of my own but the only difference is all of them already have their mates while I didn't have mine," I whisper the last part while looking at the new alpha couple kissing on the stage in happiness.
"You will find her Alex. You just have to wait for the right time." Lucas mutters while looking at the pack members who are now enjoying the feast which is set in a buffet system around the pack grounds.
"BUT WHEN LUCAS? It's already been 8 years and I haven't found her," I angrily impart while looking at the happy couples who are busy kissing or staring at each other while enjoying their food.
Lucas finally faces me at the question while his ocean blue eyes are narrowed on me. His pink thin lips pull up in a snarl while he snorts from his slightly crooked nose. He stands up in his 6 feet tall and continues his words all the while walking towards the Alpha couple. "You should feel lucky that you just haven't found her Alex. There are so many, who found their mates and already lost them."
While he is walking away I just look at his attire for the day. He is wearing khaki pants and a beach white shirt with white sneakers today. As always the top two buttons of his shirt are undone and half of the shirt is tucked in from the front side while a pair of black shades is hanging loosely on the shirt, securely tucked on the third button. I shake my head at his choice of clothing and look down at my three-piece grey suit and shiny black shoes. He will never wear professional attires like a suit even on professional occasions. I notice he hasn't stopped for me yet and snort at his stubbornness.
I stand up too and increase my pace to fall with him, "Lucas, I didn't mean it in that way and you know it. I just... feel lost at times. I have been the Alpha for 6 years now and at times I feel the need to have someone to share it with," I carry on, sadness coating my words while my feet stop on their own accord.
Lucas faintly smiles at me while running his fingers through his already messy blond hair before speaking, "I know, Alex, and I understand. You don't have to clarify everything. I'm your Beta and it's expected of me to understand your every unspoken word. As for finding her, you will, after all, 24 is not old age. "
I smile at the reminder and resume my way towards the Alpha couple to congratulate them.
"Alpha Liam Scott, Luna Christy Lynn, congratulations to you both, and Liam, welcome to the bad boys Alpha group," I mention while adding the last part in a playful tone.
Liam chuckles on the welcome before remarking "There is no match to you Alpha Alexander. If we are bad boys then you are the King of us," Lucas laughs loudly at Liam's words while I just grin.
"Oh! You don't know Liam." I snicker at Lucas's comment and acknowledge Liam's previous words.
"I sure am the King, Liam. Anyway, we would like to leave now. I have an important pack business to attend to." Saying that I shake hands with Christy and Liam, who nod their heads understanding my reason, and bid us farewell.
Lucas follows me towards our car while people bow down to us when we pass by them to show their submission and respect. I stop in front of our black Lamborghini, which is bathed in the evening golden hue, and throw the keys towards Lucas who catches them without blinking.
"You are driving us back. I'm so done with driving for the day," I announce in a tired voice and put back my shades to avoid the setting sun.
Lucas looks at me dumbfounded before his sarcasm-filled words reach me, "OH REALLY! I thought you threw the keys at me because you want to play catch- catch. You just broke my heart, Goddess!" He then dramatically puts on his shades and waves his hand while opening the car door.
I look at him with a bored expression and snarl. "It's not funny, you idiot. With the amount of brain you have... Wait, NO, with you having no brain at all, I have to be clear or else you won't know." I start laughing as I utter the last words while Lucas gives me his murderous look and just like that we both end up throwing insults at each other throughout our way back home, unaware of the dreadful news awaiting us.
Chapter 2 Sara POVI kept staring at the framed photo, which is a bittersweet memory. The photo was taken 4 years ago in the nearby woods, the same woods that I have come to hate more than anything.A tear rolls down my cheek as I stare at my old self, so lively and happier. My now dull chestnut brown eyes are sparkling with joy in the photo while my thin pink lips are set in a small smile. My long ginger hair is tied in a half bun contrasting with my yellow summer dress.

Chapter 4Sara POVI choose not to inform the warriors because this news would be the very reason for their death as they will forget to save their own lives and would start searching for our Luna.
Chapter 5Alexander POVI stare out of the black tinted windows and watch the trees passing which are almost blurred due to the speed of our car. My mind wanders to my mate once again and soon I find myself lost in her tho

Chapter 7Lucas POVWhen David said Sara was severely injured everything stopped for a moment, my breathing, my heartbeat, the surroundings blurred and the conversation faded in the background as I relive the god forsaken moment in the car once again in my head but this time instead of my breathing my heart beats pick up their pace.
Chapter 8Lucas POVI enter the room with Alex right behind me and look at the white walls before my eyes land on my baby sister, Sara. Even though I’m two minutes older than her, she is still a baby sister to me but the years have changed her so much and have shaped her into this strong female warrior who would sacrifice herself but won’t let anyone else die
Chapter 9Alexander POVI enter in my office and see everything as I left but more neat and organized. The mahogany desk has a stack of files on its right side and my laptop is placed in the middle with a paperweight on the left. The long book wooden book shelves on the left wall are all dusted and books are organized according to their usage. The swiveling black chair behind the desk and the other two office chairs on the opposite side are shinning black. The wall behind my swiveling chair is decorated by some landscape portraits. The glass wall opposite to the book shelves has black curtains draped while a long black couch is placed on the adjacent wall facing my desk.
