Chapter Eleven: Altercation With A Table

After a long night of pulling many shards of glass out of my body, I was able to get to bed around 5am, when I thought I had gotten all of the glass out and cleaned my wounds, even more popped up which only added to the hours of torture. I would love to say after patching myself up I was able to get some good rest, but that was far from being the case. I normally, sleep on my side as that’s what was comfortable for me, but due to my arms being savaged by glass and the huge bruise from my father kicking me back down to the ground, it only sent excruciating pain to ripple through my body preventing me from doing so. This meant, I was forced to lay on my back staring at the ceiling.

Another thing which kept me up was the fear of my father returning, each time that I managed to get to sleep, I would jolt awake from fear that he was looming over me again. With all this stacked up, I didn’t get any sleep which only added to how awful I felt. But also, leading me to call sick into work for
