CHAPTER 12- An Intruder

My heart is pounding in my chest with such intensity that I fear it will jump out at any moment as she bursts into a hearty laugh at my proposal.

I expected worse, a stinging slap in the face, tears of humiliation or intimidating threats. But I never thought Cissy would laugh at me to my face. I sit here and watch her collapse onto the table trying to regain composure, taking deep breaths through chuckles and giggles.

I patiently wait for her to compose herself once more and reveal the reason behind her amusement, as well as confirm if she is on board with our plans. Goddess knows that there's a mutual attraction between us, so we could have a lot of fun together.
