CHAPTER 18- The Dream

Still Alpha Female Ciciane’s POV

The moment my eyes close, I relive it all again in a dream.

Impatient to show my mother my purchases, Xanna and I return to the pack. However, as soon as we pass through the gates, a sudden sense of discomfort overwhelms me. The link with my family abruptly severs and an intense pain clenches at my chest.

As the warrior behind the wheel unleashes a gut-wrenching howl, he grips his chest and attempts to get out of the vehicle. However, his wolf fails to connect with its pack mates and Alpha. He collapses onto the ground and exhales one final breath.

Xanna and I stare at him in shock before regaining our senses.

“Cissy, I don't feel my parents, nor the Alpha," Xanna murmurs to me with puzzlement.

I'm trying to reach my father, the Alpha, in the mind link, but I can't get through either. And then I understand that something serious is going on.
