Chapter 33

Novalie POV

The loud knock on the door startled me from the deep sleep I had been in. Instead of jumping out of bed the way I had expected him to, Xavier pulled me even closer into him as he nuzzled the crook of my neck, inhaling my scent. We had never actually slept in the same bed before, let alone cuddled together like this, but it felt right for us to be here like this. Xavier groaned softly as he released me and climbed out of bed before grabbing his pillow and throwing it on the couch he had just a few feet infront of the bed. He grabbed the blanket that had fallen on the floor from the foot of the bed, opened it, and threw it on the couch as well, so it would look like he had slept there, instead of in bed cuddled with me.

There was another sharp knock on the door, and I couldn't help but to giggle when Xavier let out an exasperated sigh, annoyed by whoever was on the other side. He walked over to the door and opened it slightly to see who it was, without letting them see me
