Chapter Two

My heart skipped a beat, he was right.

“You can’t just choose a mate you just met Lucian,” I replied. He could though, I was afraid it may be possible.

I took a step backward and turned around, rolling my eyes like I didn't care about what he just said when it was the complete opposite. I did care. I did care that he would find someone who he would love and cherish and worship the ground she walked on.

“You’re right, you may likely find a mate at the ceremony, then you would forget me forever,” I mumbled, not realizing he had heard me.

I turned to leave but he grabbed my hands tight,

“I’ll always choose you first Sazia. You were my first friend, the only girl to challenge me without being scared of what might happen.”

He grabbed me close to him and hugged me tight. I could feel his warm embrace, his hot breath, and everything in between; it sent shivers down my spine and made me want to run my hands over his body frame and just give myself to him.

We stayed like that for a long time until he kissed my neck, a very weak spot of mine that made me completely vulnerable. I moaned softly, feeling jolts of pleasure running up my spine, down to my toes as he embraced me tighter.

His fingers swayed through my back, I could feel the shock from every angle, the way his fingers caressed me so lovingly.

I turned to speak, drawing back from the brace with a flushed face, wondering what had just happened.

“W- we should probably go back…” I stammered, avoiding his eyes.

He put his hands on my mouth almost immediately. There was silence as we stared at each other. I could see the wanton need in his eyes, the desire, the suppressed hunger.

“It's the last night you spend with an ordinary werewolf. Tomorrow, the person you will meet will be an Alpha. I want to spend the remaining hours with you Sazia.”

“But…”

He put a finger in my mouth and my knees grew weak with desire as I fought the urge to take his fingers into my mouth and suck sensually on it.

I tried to protest, but deep down my heart was racing. I was holding a speed debate in my head. Should I or should I not?

My answers were not decided because the moment he put his hands on my back, my brain froze and I could only follow my body's pleasures and give in.

He bent down to his knees, sliding his hands through my legs and stopping halfway there.

My whole body vibrated to his movements and the heat inside of me was unbearable.

He went back on and he loosed the knot on my back, making my dress fall out immediately. I was almost naked now with him in my arms, and I was already losing my mind.

He closed my eyes and I could feel his hands finding their way into my delicate places, causing my skin to vibrate thoroughly.

His hands sent shivers down every part of my body, my soul needed him.

I could feel his hands touching every area of my body and I vibrated and trembled lewdly to each of his touches, then it went all around, exploring every other area of my skin.

"Lucian...," I could only say, moaning softly as he took the other words right out of my mouth.

The remaining parts of the night I could not remember but what I knew was that I gave him my all; I was totally in love with him.

Lucian's POV

Everything happened so fast, I could not stop the passion. My body craved hers and I could not deny it.

We spent the night together and it was a very amazing night.

The next day the crickets woke me up - it was still quite dark. Sazia slept close to me, she was undressed.

“oh know… what did I just do?” I soliloquized.

I could not believe I had slept with my best friend, I felt guilty for that, but I still couldn't understand what had happened last night. One minute I was scolding her for being careless and weak, and the next minute, I suddenly had a craving for her, an insatiable hunger that could only be quenched by her.

I had to go back to the pack before Xavier got suspicious. I didn't want anyone to know what had ensued between us both. We had fun but the reality was different, it had to be kept a secret.

There was only one thing left to do.

Sazia's POV

The chirping birds woke me up that morning, everywhere looked beautiful as I groggily opened my eyes and stared around.

I could not believe I slept together with Lucian. It was the best night of my entire life. I had fantasized about all the things I wanted to do with Lucian, and last night, it all came through. I was the happiest woman alive, I wished to relive the night over and over and over again till eternity.

If we spent the night together, it only meant he saw me as his mate, and he was also in love with me, right?

That was why he could not resist the temptation because he craved for my body the same way I craved for his.

I looked at the bruises on my arms, it was all worth it. But my smile faded when Lucian was nowhere to be found.

I looked side to side, expecting to see him on the other side, but I was well aware from the time I had awoken that I was alone.

I wore my clothes and walked around, but I could not find him.

“Lucian…Lucian!” I shouted, but he was nowhere to be found.

“he could not have gone far, or without leaving a sign, could he?” I thought to myself.

I then decided that I might find a clue to where he was if I checked the place we stayed. So I went back and to my surprise, I found some writing on the floor.

I was so full of excitement that I had not noticed Lucian had written something for me.

I strained my eyes to read what he wrote and it read,

“Sorry I left hurriedly, I had to go back. See you at the ceremony, Lucian”
