Chapter 32 - White pills

Pierce POV

Something wasn’t quite right with Libby.

She practically darted back into the house to avoid shifting earlier. Her relationship with her wolf was complicated and never do I want her to feel uncomfortable around others, especially where her wolf hasn’t had the number of shifts or experienced a pack environment such as my own.

In fact, my wolf was having difficulty feeling her wolf. A sign that she hadn’t shifted in such a long time which was unhealthy.

Which is why I had hoped she would use the excuse of a group of us shifting together to not feel nervous about joining in.

I place a kiss on her forehead, the sight of her holding a baby bringing my possessive side forward. She was my mate and would have my children one day, I was only a red blooded alpha male after all.

I head upstairs to use her ensuite shower. Usually I had the bathroom to myself, adjacent to my guest room, but with the additional lodgers at the moment I didn’t fancy tag teaming with teenagers.
