Chapter 10 - Fraya
I tossed and turned on the bed, the silence of the padded room driving me crazy, making me think of all the things that I didn't want going through my head. All the times I have been used, all the times that I died but didn't stay dead. I know that the vampire lord still wants me, that's he's looking for me, and I couldn't do that to anyone. I couldn't put anyone in danger, I just wanted to leave, go home and pack up. Get out.
yet, something inside me is telling me that it won't be that simple, they won't just let me leave out of the blue because I wasn't interested. That is why they locked me in this room.
was it so hard to be able to go home? Why did they care so much that I agreed to be their mate? I didn't want a mate to begin with, let alone four of the most powerful shifters in the city.
