I try to push myself to my feet, but it's like my body has given up on me. I feel like I'm going to pass out, but then I feel a warm touch on my shoulders. "Lucien," a familiar voice says. I look up, and I see Natasha, standing over me. I'm surprised to see her here, but I'm also relieved. "What are you doing here?" I ask. "I can't just stay home while everyone else is fighting," she says, her eyes determined. "This is my mess too." Natasha helps me to my feet, and I feel a little better. Then she takes out a knife and slits her wrist, offering me the blood that flows from the wound. I know that drinking her blood will make me stronger, so I take a drop. But as soon as I do, the strength rushes through me so fast that I lose my balance and crash into the stone floor of the temple. It's a jarring blow, but I feel my strength returning. I look up at Natasha, and I see a determined look on her face. "We have to stop them," she says. Before I can even get to my feet, I'm kicked in the sid
I'm chasing the convoy of cars, and I manage to catch up to the last car in the line. I slash at the tires with my claws, and the car tumbles over onto its side. Five werewolves jump out, snarling and growling, their eyes glowing red with rage. They leap towards me, ready to fight. I stand my ground, ready to face them.As the werewolves charge towards me, I leap into action. I meet the first werewolf head-on, blocking its claws with my own. We clash together, our claws and teeth tearing at each other, snarling and snapping. I feel the other werewolves closing in, and I know I have to act fast. I twist away from the first werewolf, kicking it in the chest as I spin. I duck under the claws of the second werewolf, landing a punch to its gut. The third werewolf leaps at me, but I grab it by the throat and toss it aside. The fourth werewolf swipes at me with its claws, and I feel the skin on my arm tear. But I ignore the pain, focusing on my opponent. I grab the werewolf's arm and twist i
We both stand panting in the middle of the forest, surrounded by broken trees and torn-up road. The air is charged with tension, and it's clear that neither of us is backing down. "You're a strong old man," I say, my voice tight. Raphael laughs, but there's a hint of bitterness in his laugh. "And you're a persistent young fella," he says. I can tell that he's getting tired, but so am I. This battle could go on for hours, and I'm not sure how much longer I can last.Raphael launches at me, his fist colliding with my face. I fly backwards, crashing into a tree. I try to stand up, but my body feels heavy and sluggish. My vision is blurry, and I can barely make out Raphael's figure through the haze. He walks towards me, his face cold and expressionless. I know he's about to deliver the final blow, and I can't do anything to stop him.As I stand there, resigned to my fate, I hear a voice calling my name. I try to focus, but my vision is still blurry. Then, I hear it again, and I realize it
I was always a deep sleeper. It was one of the things I never bothered to change about myself despite the trainings I had , I'd always sleep deeply at the end of each day to get maximum rest. But today it's wasn't like that. The smell of smoke pierced my lungs and my eyes snapped open. "Fire' I whispered to no one in particular. Running to the window I saw it, at a window four stories high no one could miss it. Dead bodies lined the streets , a couple of houses I could identify were on fire ,the orphanage, and the church were no exceptions. Yellow flames with black smoke that clouded up to the sky, it was the type of fire that could only stop when it died down on its own. At first, I didn't hear any screams only the crackle of the fire so I was not sure if the occupants of those buildings had been killed before the fire was started or they were already dead and I didn't know due to the deep sleep I was in. I craned my neck to check on the hospital but I couldn't see from here
I shiver and look at the house which would probably be my grave. "Get her out and take her to her room. Make sure the mother is taken to one of the cells as well" he says to the square headed, stupid looking guy in the seat next to the driver. "Yes Alpha " he says and I alight the car myself not wanting to spend any more time with this monster. A hand grabs mine in a forceful grip and I see it's Alpha Lucien's. "Any funny business and you'll wish you were never born". I snatch my hand back and he smiles like the creep that he is. "Come with me " a bored voice says and I scoff."I'm pretty sure you can't wait to go home and tend to your cat" I say under my breath but the tensing in his shoulders let's me know that he heard me. He ignores me though and takes me into the house. I hear the car drive off but I don't look back, completely uninterested in where Alpha Lucien was going."Oh wow" I whisper under my breath this time in awe of the beauty of this house. A great hall, beaut
The time is 9:15 and in 15 more minutes the meeting will start. I sigh deeply and hope it all goes according to plan. This ultimate plan to become the Alpha King. I check the surveillance cameras looking at the conference room and see that everyone else is on seat except for me but no one has the right to complain because for one, I am their leader and secondly, it's not time yet. I think of my captive upstairs and I smile. I change the camera feed and I see her sitting in the armchair by the window. Her eyes dart back and forth and it's obvious she's looking for a way to escape but in the back of her mind she cannot. For the singular reason that her mother is still in the dungeons below the house. But she'll never know that. Only Adam(my Beta) and I know where her mother is.I study her and smile at how she gnaws on her finger. She wraps her hand around her neck and breathes hard and it's not difficult to figure out what she's thinking about. She thinks I'll strangle her and she mi
"I'll keep my fire, so it will burn you" I said to him and he chuckled. "What if you end up getting burned by it?" he asks me and I shake my head. "No never. It'll protect my mother and I " I say and he nods "You see the thing is, I was in a good mood to take you to see your mother, because of the perfect acting you displayed a few minutes ago but here we are with you still behaving like a little child." he says and tears come to my eyes. "Don't you dare lie, you threatened me with the life of my mother, you killed my father and you removed his head and his heart. I do not owe you anything " I say to him and he trails his hand up my arm and to my shoulder. Walks two of his fingers to the dip of my neck where my collar bones meet and he grabbed my neck holding on to it. "You owe me your life. that's what you owe me. Every drop of blood and water in your body. You soul and your spirit too. I own them because your father signed you off to me " he says tightening his hand around my throa
Maybe it was the body or maybe it was the baby blue eyes I don't know, but I couldn't stop thinking about Lucien's prisoner, Tyler that I met in the cell. It was so absurd how I wanted to go down there and free him , consequences be damned. I smiled sweetly and shake in shock as Lucien barges in. Dude has never taken a second to knock ever since I got here. He gives me his trade mark shark smile and advances on me. I scoot back in the bed and but he doesn't stop so I draw the covers up to my chin in an act of protection. He snatched the covers from my hands and pulled them off the bed totally tossing them in the corner and for once I'm grateful that I don't go to sleep naked. "What is going on ?" I ask and on the last word in my sentence, he grabs my ankle and drags my body closer to his . We're so close that I am looking into his eyes. He looks at me with pure lust and I look at him with pure hatred. He leans down to kiss me and I watch him watch me. He's poking the bear trying to
