Chapter 6

Diannah

Adora was leading me through the huge living room of the palace, I could feel a pair of eyes on my back as I walked. I tried to not let it affect me but I couldn’t, I was partially running behind Adora and trying to get away from here as soon as possible.

As we walked outside the palace, my mouth hung open as I stared at the beauty of this world. My mind stopped working for a sec as I was looking around, the palace was huge. To its right had a beautiful pound with crystal clear water and to its left had a huge forest. The sounds of birds and the cool breeze made me feel so good and refreshed.

There was a huge garden in front of the place and a beautiful water fountain placed in the middle. We climbed down the stairs and made our way towards the bridge leading towards the huge forest, it was so beautifully built with trees on either side of it. I have never seen this beautiful thing on earth, it’s so fucking amazing to watch.

We were now walking on the bridge, out of curiosity, I turned back and looked at the palace, “Wow,” Was the only word left in my mouth as I stared at the beautiful palace. It literally looked like floating in the air with waterfalls around it. There was a bridge connecting the castle to the hill above the pond. It was five-storey and was extremely beautifully built.

“I will take you to palace tour once we get back,” Adora said while looking at my awe face,

“I can’t wait,” I said with excitement clearly written on my face,

I wish dad and mom could see how beautiful this place is, I hope they’re fine. I thought as I kept walking beside Adora with a heavy heart. I don't know when I will see them again, I hope they’re not panicking because of my absence.

“So, what happened?” Adora asked as we walked side by side,

“Huh?” I asked confused at her question,

“In the study room?” she said while looking at me,

“Oh, they said about this realm and about me?” I replied,

“And?” she asked with curiosity evident in her eyes,

“The mate thing!” I sighed,

“Ohhhh” she responded with annoyed me,

“Argh!” I groaned while hitting her on the shoulders, she chuckled at my reaction, “But… seriously do you know anything about mating and all,” she asked looking at me,

“No… I have read a few werewolves books though…” I replied,

“Well… I haven’t heard about having mates in the Wizard realm… it’s very rare to have a mate here unless something big is coming in our way… in future” she replied,

“What do you mean?” I asked confused a bit,

“Years back something like a big war happened between hunters and other realms, it was the biggest war that ever happened before and because of it many people lost their loved ones… even our king lost his father and mother… after the war ended crisis hit every single realm… at that time people began to lose hope and kings of every single realms and kingdom began to lose themselves with a heavy load of works… then our king of all realms, creator of life, King Galactus found his mate, the one who saved us all… the one who is worshipped as goddess everywhere… The Goddess of Magic, Queen Zunelia... “ She said,

Hearing her name, something inside me just twisted, the feeling of being awoken hit my body and it was the most strange and unfamiliar feeling I ever had in my entire life. I blinked twice to control myself but I couldn’t, I tried to concentrate on what Adora was telling me but my vision began to blur, I blinked and tried to take deep breaths.

What’s happening to me? I thought and tried to control myself.

Then all of a sudden, I was back to normal. As if nothing happened, I looked at Adora and saw her talking to me, “Then… everything went back to normal…” she continued, I took a deep breath and tried to control myself.

What the hell is happening to me, I thought while blinking in confusion.

“So… they lost their daughter after that?” I asked as she told me how king Galactus and his sons saved everyone from an evil man whose name I forgot.

“Sadly yes,” She replied, “It took years for her to recover from it… Although She was back to herself, we celebrated the day when her daughter was born.” She added.

“You said that Galactus was Creator of life and she’s the goddess of magic, right?” I asked, she nodded her head while looking at me with curiosity evident in her eyes.

“Then… didn’t they try to save the child?” I asked,

“Since the Queen was unconscious when it happened and also the king was fighting that evil man… no one could save the child…” she replied in a sad tone.

Hearing that I felt extremely sad and the words Eira said about my parents ran inside my head. I was adopted and I don’t know who my real parents are, I don’t even know whether they’re alive or not.

God! I internally sighed.

“Here we are!” Adora said while beaming with happiness.

I looked around and noticed how crowded this place was, it had shops on either side of the road filled with people. I could see why it’s so crowded, the market has every single thing from undergarments to accessories and other things for household and all.

The market was divided into several sections, similar to malls on Earth and every section has more than twenty shops. I have never seen this big market in my entire life, ever. I think no country on earth has a market this big and spacious.

People here are wearing extremely fancy clothes, accessories, and all. Almost every single person looked rich and stylish. The shops and the surroundings were extremely technological. Although no shop was two-storey here every single shop was big and had enough space for a hundred members to fit inside at once.

Adora began showing me every single mall and all the types of things that are present here. I was so amazed by seeing things I have never seen before, there’s an oil called fliline here which If we apply it to our hairs and think of a colour in our mind, it would automatically change our hair colour and no one can guess whether it’s natural hair colour or not.

We stopped in front of a huge library, “This library has every single book related to every single living being and all about the history of the realms and kingdoms... We have a library similar to this in our palace, though it’s a bit small compared to this you can find any book you want there,” she said as we passed the library.

The whole day we kept roaming around the market, Adora showed me almost every single shop where I should go if I need anything. As The sun was setting down, we walked back to the palace,

“I will take you to the most beautiful sight, you will love it,” Adora said while smiling at me. Hearing her words excitement to see it began to increase inside me. We were walking through the bridge we had crossed, Adora led me to the opposite of the palace where there were stairs that were connected to the bridge to the upper hill.

“Me and my brother usually go there at this time, it’s so beautiful and calming up there,” She said as we kept climbing the stairs.

“You have a brother?” I asked,

“Yeah, Elder brother, he left for training in the morning, will be back by 8,” She replied,

“OH,” I replied, “How many members live in this palace?” I asked,

“King’s family lives in the upper area which you have seen,” She said, “Have you seen the down areas?” She asked, I do remember seeing a few areas under the main floor which is connected to the bridge. Several people were walking in and out of them.

“Yes,” I replied,

“Those are allotted to the warriors and wizards according to their ranks. They live with their families and all remaining rooms are for the people who serve for us,” She replied,

“Wow, this place is so huge,” I said as I reached the bridge and glanced down at the palace, there were a few underground floors that looked huge from here and from the windows I could see how big the rooms were.

“Yep… You will be shocked to see how big the underground floors are,” She replied as we walked under the huge blue light balls which were placed like street lights. They were so beautiful.

“Hundreds of people live there, Gabriel himself visits the floors to make sure everything is good.” She spoke.

“Oh… your king must be very generous then,” I said as we reached the forest and kept walking into it.

“Yep… he’s one of the best wizards in the whole universe,” She replied, “There are few books on his fights and adventures in our library, you should read them,” she said while looking at me.

“No thanks,” I replied, she just chuckled at me.

“You know he’s not only one of the most handsome men present in-universe but also one of the best kings alive... he may look arrogant but inside he’s kind and understanding… because of his past he turned into the man he is now… don’t misunderstand him, Diannah,” She said, “I’m not saying this because he’s my cousin but because he’s a good man, just give a chance and accept the mate bond,” She added.

“Promise me that you’ll think about it,” she said, I just nodded my head at her.
