Chapter 13

It’s now been a week and I had delegated my responsibilities to the other members of our pack. Clayton didn’t need to worry as much as Amelia being the Luna could easily cover for him. But it would not be fair to expect her to handle all our responsibilities.

I also just finished saying goodbye to Sofia and Richard. Usually they make a big deal if I leave them with someone overnight let alone for a few days. However Amelia was their favourite person on the planet. Partly owing to the fact that they never seem to hear the word no from her. They even referred to her and Clayton as their aunt and uncle. So given who they were staying with they didn’t make a fuss.

I started putting me and Clayton’s bags that Amelia packed for him in the trunk of the car. When I was just putting in the last suitcase when Clayton came out to join me.

“Of course you only deign to show up when the work is done,” I say while closing the trunk door.

Clayton sprouted a Cheshire worthy grin before telling me,”
