Chapter 20: A dialogue

Queen Emilia, with her gentle yet discerning eyes, noticed the worry etched on Isabella's face. She knew that even though, Isabella wasn't always cheerful, but she wasnt as depressed as she looked. Concerned for her daughter's well-being, she gently approached her in the privacy of their chambers.

"My dear Isabella," Queen Emilia began, her voice filled with warmth and love, "you seem troubled. Is there something weighing heavily on your heart? I am aware that alot of things are presently happening ,but you look very much down".

Isabella hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to respond. She knew that her actions with Alexander had consequences, not only for herself but for their entire kingdom. Opening up to her mother about her romantic involvement with him would mean revealing the truth and potentially disappointing her.

She had promised her mother that she would uphold the generational gift and make sure that she sacrificed whatever possible to protect the kingdom,but here ,she kne
