“The guardian of water.” a figure mused as he watched the interaction between the two girls behind the bushes. “Interesting.”
His eyes then gazed over at the petite green haired girl who has her hands clenched at her sides. And let out a quiet gasp as he felt some sort power from her.
Something that he had never felt before after a few millennia.
“Who is she?” he asked himself as he continued to watch the fight between the two. Anticipating an event whether the girl will show any sort of power.
Truly he had never seen such a girl before.
“A guardian?” Tivona repeated as she looked at the older in confusion. She then shook her head as she couldn’t believe such a person exist. “You’ve got to be kidding me.”
“Believe what you want to believe.” Aedre told her. “Cause I’m not pressuring you to.” And then turned on her heel and continued walking away.
She let out a sigh and just watched as the older walked towards the forest at the other side of their village. With a clenched fist on her chest.
Aedre let out a frustrated sigh as she trudged through the forest. Sunlight shone through the leaves, providing some sort of light for her path. How could she let her powers slip out so easily?
And the fact that she told Tivona who she really was...
The girl didn’t believe her in the slightest. It was bound to come out sooner or later, but she never thought it would come out this way.
Ever since she was born, her parents had already told her the destiny that awaited her as a water element. She is a guardian...not of water but of something else.
Something important that could greatly create an impact in the world if it was somehow used in a manner which it was not supposed to be.
And until now, she never knew what it was or what is it.
She had begun her search years ago for the thing that she needed to protect but so far nothing had turned up to determine the life that she have to live in order to prepare for her role.
It was if...it was avoiding her somehow.
That maybe she needed to accomplish something in order to find what she was looking for all this time.
But what?
Closing her eyes, she raised her hands at her sides as her body gave off a soft blue glow, calling forth all the minerals that make up the element of water.
She opened her eyes as a small liquefied orb hovered in front of her.
‘It’s obviously the water droplets back in the village.’ she thought and willed it to disappear in a burst of light.
‘No use to eradicating something that had already done a lot of damage.’Wrapping her cloak around her, she continued her walk through the forest. Her thoughts back to the lessons she had learned about her destiny when she was younger.
Flashback...
A young Aedre sidled up closed to an older woman with greying brown hair as the latter sat down beside her on a small sofa.
“Mama, tell me more.” she pleaded as she placed a hand over the older’s.
The older looked at her with green-orange eyes much like her own. And smiled, the lines on her face getting clearer.
“As you wish, Aedre.” the older conceded. And then looked at the fire crackling in front of them.
“When the civilizations where young, the Lord of the Heavens chose three gifted humans to protect the chamber of knowledge and history. He chose them not because of their lineage but because for their specific gifts. One could summon any creature, both magical and mythical, another could make the elements stopped as if he lorded it while another controls the elements. They’re called the guardians. Their purpose is to protect the secrets which lies inside the Chamber and only them could access it.”
“Why so, mama?” she inquired as she inched closer to her mother.
The older smiled and turned to face her. “It was the will of the Lord of the Heavens. And all of them swore under oath to upheld the honor
and dignity as a Chosen One. And that is why, you, Aedre should also learn how to control your powers in order to protect the Chamber when your time comes.”“Where is the Chamber located?”
The older shook her head. “No one knows where they are, only the Guardians knew. And no one from them are allowed to divulged the secret to any human being.”
“Why so?” she asked, curious and confused at the same time.
The older didn’t answer but just turned her gaze at the fireplace.
“It would cause unspeakable horrors, wouldn’t it?”
Her mother nodded. “Yes, that’s why.”
“But how could I protect something if I don’t know where it is located?”
Her mother turned to her and spoke softly. “Someone will lead all of you when you’re all ready and complete.”
“All?” she repeated. “What do you mean?”
‘I have to find the remaining Guardians.’ she mused. ‘In order to find the Chamber.’ then looked up at the sky. ‘But who will lead us to that place?’
Tivona waited by the huge bonfire for her friend, her hand still tightly clenched to her chest. Ever since she had met the other, she began to question what her destiny is.
She let out a sigh then turned to look at the bush that was outside one of the houses and frowned as she heard movement came from the bush.
Only for a small white rabbit bounded out as she neared it.
She withdrew her hand as straightened up then turned towards the forest where the other had entered awhile ago. With nothing short of a response to her previous question.
“I’m the guardian of water.”
Aedre’s voice repeated itself in her head. Her hands clenched at her sides as she considered the words. She looked up at the forest. Her mind set. ‘If you’re the guardian of water...then I’m the guardian of nature.’
“Nowthis is where the fun begins.” A figure murmured to himself as he stepped out frombehind the house where he had hidden before the girl-Tivonahe corrected had approachedthe bush.A malicious smilethenmade its way across his face as his eyes glinted. “I can’t wait to see what the two of you can do.”

Nothingbeats a fresh breathe of air. For how long since she had this opportunity, she couldn’t tell.
The air was still, thatTivonawas afraid to even breathe for fearofdisturbing the balance that the other had ceremoniously started here in the forest. Her eyes widened in both admiration and horror as she watched the other summoned up walls of water from the ground. As if she clearlycontrolled the element-which she did.

Her back turned towards them.Tivonalooked between the two of them, unsure on who she would ask about what happened awhile ago. And the mere fact that the two seemed to have a history that likely happened years ago...Well, it’s safe to say that it’s better to let things run as they are.
“Aren’t we going to go after her?”Tivonaasked as she followed after the older.Who was not saying a thing after their separation awhile ago.“Aedre.” she called the older as she stopped walking thenhunched over to catch her breath. “Can you please stop and look at me for a minute?”The o
