Chapter 9

While sitting in a cold dark room, Cheng Yan looked through the bars that was restricting his freedom. He wanted to check if the guards were still on their shift. When he found no one he rose quietly not wanting to disturb his little sister's sleep. After checking to see that she was sleeping comfortably, he turned away and took a few steps toward the small window where some moonlight was entering through.

He whistled softly for a couple of times and stopped as if he was waiting for something to appear. In a while, he heard flapping sounds as if something was approaching him. A white pigeon landed on the window seal, on it's leg there was a small pouch where he put on a letter he had written during the day. He was fortunate because he always travelled around with paper and ink which he would hide somewhere in his clothes. He was also lucky because when the guards searched him they didn't find it on him.

After successfully putting the small piece of paper on the bird, Cheng Yan spoke
