CHAPTER 9: CHANGES

Ella looked at the date on her phone calendar and she gasped in surprise. It would soon be three months since she had moved in with Blake and began their arrangement. Ella had been a nervous wreck at the beginning, but she eventually developed a coping mechanism that was working for her. The main source of her serenity had come when she had learnt not to judge herself too harshly. Despite this, many things about the arrangement still confused her. Behind closed doors, Blake was a sweet and sensitive lover. He had learnt how to get Ella to respond to his touch and they had both begun to enjoy their time together. However, everything changed when morning came. Blake would change from the flirty man who seduced Ella every night, and turned into an extremely polite boss with Ella. At times, he even bordered on aloofness.

On the other hand, Jason was thriving like a flower in spring. He had regained his speech completely and was doing well in school. Ella had enjoyed daily drives outside
