Chapter 1.

Serana POV.

“Ahhh,” I moan, as the monster hovers over me. He is my capture, my jailer Vilkas, the last dragon.

“You Lycan whores are all the same. Like bitches in heat.” He grips my face, forcing me to look at him. I look into his green reptilian eyes, blood tastes on my tongue. He pants harder before he pulls out and flips me over. I feel like I’m being ripped in half as he entered me roughly from behind.

This was not how I envisioned I would lose my virginity. I wasn’t forced though. I made a deal with the damn dragon devil to keep me alive.

“Moan for me bitch, let me know how much you like it.” Tears sting my eyes as I moan for him. There is nothing pleasurable about this. But this is my life as his sex slave, all because he thinks I’m a fucking Lycan. I’m not. I’m human.

One final thrust as he roars at his release and I collapse on the bed, closing my eyes as he pulls out.

“Next time, do better. If you want to survive, you will do what I want. You Lycans are all the same disgusting and untrustworthy.” He says with a growl before he leaves the room, slamming the door behind him, and I jump at the sound.

How can Vilkas think I’m a Lycan? If anything, I want to see them all burn.

I move towards the bathroom with my shaking legs. Looking in the mirror, I’m shocked and disgusted by what I see. My long fiery red hair is matted and my pale skin is black and blue. My brown eyes are dull and lifeless. The flecks of gold were dim and fading.

Not because of Vilkas, but because of the Lycans who destroyed humanity.

“In order to shine, you must first burn.” It’s what my mother always said to me. I never understood what she meant but my heart burns with great sorrow. How I miss her and my father.

I move towards the shower and turn it to the hottest setting. I let out a scream as I punch the shower wall until I cry and slide down sitting at the bottom of the shower. Something inside me breaks and I feel it try to claw its way out, but it stops when the door bursts open and I feel him moving closer to me.

“This is what you deserve. You and your whole species deserve this.” I look up at him and feel the rage burning in me at how my life turned out like this.

“I don’t deserve this at all. You have it all wrong, Vilkas. I’m not a …” he grabs me around my throat and pushes me into the wall, tiles crack at the force as he steps under the hot water. He growls in my face as I claw at his hands to release me as I choke.

“I’m never wrong, and you deserve this. You disgusting Lycan slut.” I choke as he releases me and I land on the shower floor with a bang as I scream out as I lay there with the water beating down on me. Fresh blood erupts from my leg and the back of my head.

“I’m no Lycan.” I whisper as he walks away. He stops and looks at me as he laughs.

“Like I’d ever believe you.” He leaves the room as a woman enters to help me.

“Miss, please don’t anger him. He will kill you.” She helps me up and helps dress my wounds before she helps me get ready for bed. He can try. I will show him how strong I am and who I am. If he doesn’t want to believe I am not a Lycan, then that is on him.

“Thank you, I will try.” I say as she leads me to the clean bed and I wince as I sit down before I lie down.

“Master is a good man.” I internally scoff at her words. Good man? No, he isn’t. Is she delusional? Did she hit her head?

“I’m sure he is. If you don’t mind, I would like to sleep.” I say to her, offering a small tired smile and she nods her head and leaves the room, softly closing the door behind her. I lay there, looking at the ceiling.

Being the last dragon in the world, why does he hate Lycans so much?

He tried to kill me a few days ago. When the fire touched my skin, it tickled. The only thing it did was burn the rags away, but also filled me with some kind of power.

How could I resist his fire? It confused me, as I was ready to die. After all, being a slave for sixteen years will do that to you.

“You need to burn to be reborn.” A voice echoes in my head. I sigh, as I don’t know what it means. Well, I can’t burn. We have already established that.

“Who are you?” I say out loud as I look around the room for any intruder, but there is no-one there.

“You will find out soon enough. You are special and the only one he can’t kill. He needs you, like you need him,” I scoff at that.

Dragons like beautiful and pure things, so why me if he thinks I’m a Lycan who he detests so much? Nothing makes sense anymore.

I should be ash right now and be sitting on a cloud with my parents, not stuck in this hell. Maybe I died, and this is a goddamn hell loop. Who knows? All I know is that I have to survive this and play his game.
