Chapter 23

I was busy checking documents for the café when Amelie knocked on my door.

“Sis, may bisita ka.” She said at bago pa ako makasagot ay umalis na ito. Kaya wala akong nagawa kundi ang lumabas nalang. Napabuntong hininga ako nang makita ko kung sino ang taong naghahanap sakin.

“Zane” I said and he looked at me blankly.

“can we talk?” he asked and I nodded. Wala naman mangyayari kung iiwas ako ng iiwas. I motioned him to follow me sa office and I saw Amelie giving me the “What-the-hell?” look.

Nang makarating sa office ay umupo ako sa office chair ko at sya namang nasa harapan ko ay umupo.

“Talk.” I said coldly.

“did you cheat on me?” I was taken aback on his question. I never thought that he will be asking me that question.

“really? You’re asking me that?” I said gritting my teeth.

“Don’t you think I deserve the truth after everything that happened. These past 5 years was a hell for me.” he’s mad and hurt. I can see it in his eyes.

“let me ask you, Do you think I cheated on you?”
