Jenna’s P.O.V. in 2010

“I’ve seen him around in school.” I nodded in response because I had. I just didn’t get the goosebumps and fluttering butterflies in my stomach like I would get from Adam.

“He’s an asshole though. He has his whole life figured out for him already.” Adam told me, a bit of anger in his voice as he spoke about his younger brother.

“While I don’t even know what to do with my life. I mean, if I don’t get a scholarship to play rugby somewhere, I wouldn’t know what to do with my life, honestly. I mean, my backup plan is to join the army, but my mom doesn’t want to hear about any of that. But I mean… you know moms.” He laughed, to which I pressed my lips into a thin line.

No… I don’t

I don’t know ‘moms’

Mine left me at the front door of my uncle’s house
