Mark's Intimidating and Prince Charming

Elena nervously enters her first college class, clutching her books tightly to her chest, She scans the room for an empty seat, hoping to blend in and go unnoticed.

Little does she know, her past is about to catch up with her.

As Elena spots an empty seat towards the back, she sees a familiar face, It's Mark, the guy who used to bully her in high school, her heart sinks, and she hesitates for a moment, unsure of what to do.

' just why am I meeting old nemesis like this, hopefully he would have grown up and be reasonable like Felicia' Elena thought

Mark smirked as he got up and walked over towards her

" Well, well, well, look who decided to join us, Elena, right? Thought you were too scared to attend college, just like in high school"

Elena's face turns pale, memories of the torment flooding back, if Felicia was the progenitor of all her bullying then Mark was the main attacker who tried his best to humiliate her just to get in Felicia good side

And back then being he was the number one bad boy in school he lead his own gang to add salt on her insults,

Elena never even thought she would be meeting so many familiar faces like, this was just her first day

" Uh, hi, Mark. I-I didn't expect to see you here." Elena replied timidly

" Oh, did you think I wouldn't make it to college? You were always underestimating me, weren't you?" Mark countered with a smirk

Elena's anxiety intensifies, But just as Mark continues his tirade, a charismatic young man enters the classroom.

" Hey, is this seat taken? " the young man said his voice oozing with a lot of confidence as he raised his head up and looked at Mark and Elena

Elena looks up to see Jason, the popular guy on campus, standing by her side, His mere presence alone brings her an unfamiliar sense of reassurance.

" No, it's not taken." Elena quickly replied

Jason sits beside Elena, shooting a cold stare at Mark

" Mark, do you mind leaving Her alone? It's clear you haven't changed your behaviour, but that doesn't mean you can continue bullying others" Jason said

" Who are you to tell me what to do?, you don't even know her and you are trying to be a hero, you should stop poking into things that does not concern you Jason " Mark asked taken aback by Jason

" Just someone who knows how to deal with bullies like you, here's a little warning, Mark, i suggest you leave Her alone and find a more productive way to deal with your frustrations, or else you'll have to answer to me."

Jason smirked as he replied Mark, moving his face towards him, Mark reluctantly backs down, realizing he's no match for Jason's confidence and popularity after all he is a fresher

" Fine, whatever but this isn't over, Elena"

With those parting words, Mark storms off towards an empty seat nearby, leaving Elena feeling relieved and grateful for Jason's intervention.

" Thank you so much, you have no idea how much that means to me. I've always been afraid of running into Mark, I an sure I have never seen him been beat down in a conversation like that " Elena whispered to Jason as she sighed in relief, while Jason just smiled warmly

" You don't need to thank me,I can't just stand by and watch someone get bullied, especially when I know how it feels. Trust me, you'll be just fine, am sure he won't be bothering you any time soon"

Elena nods, feeling a newfound sense of strength and courage while she looked at Jason with dreamy eyes, in her dark world she could finally see a light who would help her

When she had just seen Mark she was really worried after all Mark was no easying going guy and with there history it felt like it was going to be high school all over again

But luckily for her a knight in shining armour came and helped her, he was shining bright in the whole classroom she had painted as black inside her mind

" You're right, I won't let him get to me. I'm here to pursue my dreams and focus on my studies"

Elena said with a low voice while fixing her glass as she really hope she would look more beautiful than usual at that moment.

" well my name is Jason, what's you name little angel?"

Jason said as he extended his hand out to Elena for an handshake, Elena went stiff for a few seconds after she heard the words that came out of Jason's mouth

" E... Elena"

She finally got the confidence to shake Jason's hand after her mind lingered around the words little angel he had called her, only her dad called her that but she could not bring herself to tell him not to call her that

Infact when her Dad called her little angel all she felt was the immense fatherly love behind his words so hearing it ftom some else for the first time was kinda weird

" Nice name, I don't know, if you ain't that busy do you by any chance want to grab drinks with me and my guys later"

" ohhh I don't drink" Elena was quick to point out this fact the moment she heard him say let's grab drinks with me and my guys

" don't worry am sure they got something you take there when you get there" Jason tried persuading her

Elena's mind was in a bit of jeopardy as she tried her best to come to a decision, as her heart was shouting for her to say yes and go out with Jason the handsome Prince who seems to be built perfectly from

Every angle but her head was telling her that nothing good was ever going to come out from going out with a guy that looked as hot as him

And no matter how she tried to convince herself that she was not a match for someone like him her mind could not help drifting to the thought that he might just like her for who she is

" OK I would come with you, but at what time?" Elena finally agreed after a long contemplation as she finally wanted to try moving out of her friend zone for once And see how it might turn out

" well it's around eight" Jason said with a small smile just hanging at the side of his lips

" okay I would meet you at.... Wait Eight!!!!!" Elena could not help blurting out when she realised the time he had asked her to meet him

Her parent were really strict with curfew at home, before 7pm she must be home no matter what and was not allowed to go anywhere else

" is there going to be a problem?" Jason asked her as he was quick to detect her troubled face

" no... No... I would meet you at 8pm" Elena said with a nervous smile, she was still thinking of how she would be able to convince her parents that she wanted to stay pass the curfew time just because of a guy she just met

Just as she was still lost in her thoughts he wrote an address for her and passed it to her,

" here meet me here, infact when you get there it should not be hard finding me again as long as you ask"

" ohhh I will thank you again" Elena said as she collected the address while blushing

The teacher walked into the class just before anything else happened and Elena got ready for her first class while Jason made his way out of the class.
