CHAPTER EIGHT

Naya had just finished cooking.

She walked round the house checking if there was anything she needed to put in place.

A Big smile formed on her face when she realized all the needed work had been done and there was also more than enough water in the house.

And Kihara is not yet back from where she went.

She went to her room and started dancing and singing happily. It Has been a while since she felt this way and she is ready to make this last longer.

Suddenly, she heard the door open and could calculate that it was kihara that entered. She stopped dancing and rushed to the parlor to welcome kihara.

Kihara was standing in the middle of the parlour, her eyes rolling in their sockets as if they would fall out. Her eyes is also red, so fucking red!

"What happened to her?" Naya thought as she moved closer to her.

"Aunt, what happened to you? Hope no problem?" She asked worriedly when she got to kihara.

Kihara shot her a cold glare which sent cold shivers down her spine.

"I'm sorry," she muttered under her death but loud enough for Kihara to hear.

"Sorry for yourself," she scoffed.

She walks briskly to her room and Naya heaves out a deep sigh of relief.

"She is such a confused soul that doesn't even know what she wants," Naya scoffed.

Naya walked back to her room to take a nap since everything was intact.

She had just jumped on the bed when she heard Kihara shouting her name from her room.

"Naya! Come here this minute!" Kihara yelled from her room.

Naya felt like dying the moment she heard her. She thought she would rest.

and

"Okay, on my way!" Naya yelled back.

She put her leg in one and only bathroom slippers in her room.

She got to her room and met Kihara sitting down on her bed staring at a purse in her hand.

"Such a beautiful purse," her wolf whispered.

Naya scoffed.

"Aunt, I'm here," Naya announced.

Kihara turned towards her and she couldn't understand why her heart suddenly skip a beat the moment kihara turned towards her, maybe she is getting too scared of her nowadays.

*Are you done with all your work? Because I don't understand why you are so relaxed with sleeping in the room when you are not done!" Kihara yelled at her.

"I'm done aunt," she replied.

"Even the water?" Kihara creased her brow.

"Yes, I fetched more than enough yesterday," she replied.

"Okay, come and shower,'' Kihara said standing up.

Naya followed her out of the room and together they went to the big two drums in. Their compound.

Kihara stared into the drum and a deep frown settled on her face when she realized there was water there.

She glared very hard at Naya who shifted uncomfortably on her spot. She moved towards the two big drums and poured all the water on the floor.

Naya gasped as a tear fell out of her eyes. She suffered to fetch that water at the river.

"There, go and fetch another one," Kihara smirked.

Naya stared at her as another tear fell out of her eyes, for the first time in her life she wished she could regain her power. Maybe that moment she had given Kihara the beating of her life.

Without saying any more words to Kihara, she dashed into the house and after getting the bowl she often used, she made her way towards the river while crying softly.

Kihara's heart broke as she stared at her walk away in both sadness and anger.

"I'm sorry," she muttered as a tear fell out of her eyes too.

She wiped it with the back of her hand as she made her way into the house.

Naya was just a few feets away from the river when someone appeared in front of her.

"Ta da!" Enola yelled happily.

"Enola," she called softly.

"Wait, have you been crying?" Enola asked, touching her red eyes.

"No," she replied, gently removing her hand from her eyes.

Enola glared at her.

"Is nothing Enola, is nothing okay?"Naya said, trying to calm her down.

"Is it your useless aunt again?" Enola asked, rolling her eyes.

Naya nodded her head.

"Honestly, you should let me deal with her one of these days, I am still among the strongest females in this pack," Enola boasted.

Naya laughed at her and she chuckled.

"Let me escort you to the river, not like I have anything to do today, I just want to cause trouble throughout," enola stated.

Naya chuckled. The duo (Enola and Naya) walked towards the river.

The duo held hands as they walked in silence towards the river.

"Wait, have you heard?" Enola suddenly asked her to stop.

"Heard what?" Naya creased her brow.

"Why I'm I even asking when I know you can never get the latest gist going on in the pack," Enola mocked, sticking out her tongue.

"You are not okay, stupid girl," Naya smacked her head.

"Ouch, such a bully," Enola whined, rubbing the spot.

"You say what?" Naya asked, raising her hand in the air to smack.

"You are the best!" Enola shouted.

They both burst into laughter.

"So tell me, what is it that is going on?" Naya asked, wrapping her hand and finding her neck.

"The king is recruiting maids in the palace," Enola said.

"Wow! What are the requirements?" Naya asked.

"No requirement, anyone can join so far your guardian gives you the consent to," Enola replied.

"Wow! That is beautiful!," Naya gasped, smiling.

"I know right," Enola replied.

"Now I wish I could get away from my aunt, I have always dreamt of working in the palace," Naya muttered sadly.

"Sorry dear, it will be fine," Enola replied, hugging her.

Naya hugged her back sniffing on her shoulder.

Enola slowly disengaged from the hug and started smiling sheepishly.

"Naya,I have a plan," she giggled.

"Really what?" Naya asked.
