CHAPTER TWO

Ada cries out as the branches of the trees scratch at her face and arms. Looking behind her she sees the snarling faces of the pack warriors who are coming near and nearer. Their wolves are different shades of browns and grays and their bodies are large and intimidating. Ada runs through the forest tripping over branches and catches herself on the trunk of the tree. Ada screams as one of the wolves launches at her looking to take a bite out of shoulder. Dunking down she slips again and her body rolls down a small hill connecting to a stream. Landing in the ice cold water she gasps and spits water from her mouth, Her clothes soak through and the added weight makes her sluggish. Crawling, Ada tries to reach the other side of the creek but her leg is bitten and she is dragged backwards.

White hot pain laces up her body as she feels the teeth dig deeper into the muscles. Grabbing a rock she turns around and bashes it into the wolves snot. Causing it to whimper and let go. Hurrying she gets up and starts running again ignoring the blood spilling down her legs.

“I need to keep running! I have to get away.”  Ada pleaded with herself but God was she tired.

When she comes to a large clearing a voice screams at Ada to make it to the other side and she’ll be okay. Picking up her pace she’s almost there when she feels a harsh smack against her back and she falls down again.

“NO, let go!” she screamed in terror.  Behind her she saw that the other three wolves had shifted back into their human forms and were walking towards her.

“ Seems like the little Omega has finally been caught.” Warrior Sam chuckled.

“Please just let me go! I promise not to come back.” Ada pleaded and struggled under its paw.

“You know we can't do  that rogue.” Caleb frowned, grabbed her hair in his big meaty fist.

Ada cried out at the pain and stress. Her chest felt tight and it felt like her ribs were going to snap.

“Alpha Cole said that we are to deal with you but he didn't say we couldn't have some fun first. For a weakling you’re still attractive.” Eric said while giving her a sinister and sickly look of twisted lust.

“No, No you can't!” she cried out, fighting  harder. Ada refused to become a victim. Her throat started to burn as she became nauseous. Eric scoffed and struck her across her face dots forming in her vision.

“Stay still, you might even enjoy it.” he laughed and started crawling his hands down her body and gripping the edge of her pants.

A ear shattering roar was let out as the wolf holding her down was thrown off of her.  Before her stood a large midnight blck wolf. The wolf was extremely large and Ada could only assume that it was an Alpha wolf. But still this wolf was larger than the usual Alpha wolfs she had seen before. Piercing foggy red eyes stared down at her and sniffed at her body. Its large muzzle smelt down her face and stopped at her neck.

The wolf howled and charged towards her attackers behind her a small group of wolves joined him in his fight.

The fight didn't last long as the new set of wolves were easily defeating them, causing them to run back towards the tree line, their furs matted in blood. Once they were out of sight the other wolves walked an inch from the tree line, but not crossing onto it and that was when Ada realized she had run into a new pack territory and the pack warriors had breached the line. The only pack that was near enough for her to run into was the Blood Moon pack!

Ada felt her blood run cold as she realized that she was on the Blood Moon pack territory and that she was now surrounded by its members. The Blood Moon pack was one of the fiercest packs in the country renowned for its strength and large numbers. The pack had five hundred wolves and had never lost a war. No one, not even Alpha Cole would disrespect the Blood Moon pack, not if he didn't want a bloodbath.

Ada shook as the cold wind penetrated her wet skin and she tried to stand but was failing as her leg stopped her from getting up. This was it she thought this is where she would die. The imposing balck wolf turned and stalked towards its eyes locked onto hers. Stopping in front of her the wolf stopped and sniffed at her injured leg snarling at the scent of her blood. A warm wet tongue snake out and licked at her wound. Ada flinched back but allowed the wolf to take care of her. She was surprised when the pain faded into a dull throbbing.

“I'm sorry for trespassing, I swear I was just trying to get away.”

Its head snapped up and looked her directly in her eyes. Ada was oddly comforted by his presence and she didn't know if it was because he had saved her.

The sound of snapping bones alerted her that he was shifting back to his human form. One he was fully transformed, Ada marveled at the man in front of her! He was dashling with sun kissed tan skin and bulging muscles and wide broad shoulders. He had defined cheekbones with a hawkish nose that brought it  all together by a concrete jaw.  His hair was long and flowing with silky tar black strands, while his eyes were a stormy gray that were dulled by blindness. He was a god on earth but he was stark Naked! Yelping Ada looked away in embarrassment, her cheeks warming.

“What is wrong Little one.” He questions while tilting his head.

“I'm sorry it's just that you're naked.” she squeaked

The wolf in front of her laughed, “ My apologies.” He held out his hand and a pack member handed him a red pair of basketball shorts. “Better?” he asked

“Yes, thank you.”

“Are you hurt anywhere else?” he asked her.

“No, I am fine.” She lied.

The man growled and frowned, ‘ Do not lie, my beta tells me that you are injured and that you need the pack doctor.”

“I don't need a doctor, I just want to leave.” she pleaded

“You are on my land and you will do as I commend, You are a rogue aren't you?”

“I was thrown from my pack for being an omega.” she said only given the half truth they didn't need to know she lacked a wolf it would only embarrass her more.

“Well then I am Alpha Vincent Storm of the Blood Moon Pack and you are on my land. You will do as I say, understood?”  he commended

“Yes sir.” she caved in knowing that she was too injured to even make an attempt at running away.

Bending down Vincent reached for her and picked her up, a jolt of electricity racing up her spin.

“So I was right that you are my mate, I knew it when I smelt your scent.” he purred and took another inhale of her scent.

Ada just looked on in disbelief and finally the exhaustion of the day hit her like a ton of bricks and she fainted.
