I adjusted myself on my seat as I went through the files that Ian brought to my office earlier. I picked my pen and signed on each of the papers that needed my signature. Work had been hectic ever since I got married. I knew Sophie's parents were behind most of our investors who had been pulling away recently, and I knew exactly what to do to make them regret their actions.

I had to leave the house early today even though I wanted to eat breakfast with Mia. I knew that she had been feeling lonely since she was all alone in the penthouse. I wanted to spend more time with her but it seemed like I couldn't control what my body does whenever I was with her. What happened at the gym yesterday night was proof that I had zero control over my body when she was near me. Developing feelings for her would only make things complicated between us, I should probably stay away from her.
