Held in her grasp was the man who had started becoming quite the headache for Shawty.

His green eyes stared at her as though they were piercing through her very slowly.

“You passed. I’m impressed,"he said. “Now can you let go. I can’t really breathe with your hand on my neck.”

She released him and returned the fork he stole from the diner back into her pocket. She watched with apathy as he rubbed his throat, trying to soothe it.

“Explain now.” She demanded.

“I was trying to test your skills. Wanted to be sure you were alert and ready.”

“That wasn’t very hard. You were very obvious with your spying.” Shawty said she wanted to slap him and call him an idiot. If it had been anyone else, another assassin who was playing her role as his bodyguard, chances are they would have killed him without hesitation.

“I’m hurt. I thought all the spy movies I watched as a kid would come in handy.” He said with a twinkle in his eye. He was a bit she had to admit.
