Camile woke up to a white covering over head. She wasn't dead yet right? Had she already come to heaven or where was this place? and oh, what about the child? what happened to her? she hope she didn't sustain anything fatal, where is she? hope she's not here? she should be with her tyrant father now right? but how will her family know that she was dead? how will they find her when they don't even know she's dead? she was still thinking when she felt pain in her arm like she was been poked and a voice that said "you're not dead so snap out of it" * Angels know what you think here* she thought to herself again but she still heard the voice

" That's because you've been saying everything out loud, and I'm not an angel but the devil himself so get up quickly before I send you back to hell where you are just coming from"

"Daddy stop that don't scare her anymore, mummy wake up, you're not dead ok and you're not going to die get up let's go home mummy". Camile heard another voice, a tiny and sweet voice this time not the voice that scared her at first but then she heard the voices again and then realised that the voices had been talking to her all along and the tiny voice before seems to belong to the little girl she was with before they fell into the pit then she opened her eyes and saw the child by her bed side looking at her with concern in her eyes and realized that the white ceiling she had seen was only in her minds eyes

"Are you hurt baby? Are you okay" she asked when she remembered the child was asking her to get up and give her a hug.

"No mummy I'm fine I just need you to hug me because I was scared".

"Hug your daddy instead of a stranger" Caleb called with slight irritation in his voice

"No daddy I don't want you"

"Really now, she's not your mummy ok? and to say you don't want me we know that's not true"

The child hissed and turned to the lady lying on the bed making it clear that she's ignoring her father now

"Mummy get up ok" Elena said as she took Camile's hand to help her get up from the bed. Camile got up and hugged the child feeling like she was comforting herself and the child, she knew she have been scared out of her wits by the fall cause she was scared herself but thank God it's all over now.

"Mummy I'm so glad you're okay. I was so scared"

"Thanks baby but you don't have to be scared ok".

"But I was, I was afraid you might get hurt or that something might happen to you"

"You don't have to be scared anymore ok and I promise I'll never get hurt even if I fall into a much deeper pit ok baby? and besides that you have your daddy with you so you don't have to be scared. Now stop with the tears and too tight hug so I can breath" Stepping aside from hugging Camile, Elena said "I'm sorry, it was my fault we fell, I'm sorry I put you through that with my daddy ok?"

"Oh no baby, you don't have to be sorry ok, I'm fine and it's not because of you ok" then bending to whisper into Elena's ear she said "It's because of your tyrant daddy , he was too scary"

"I heard that"

"Oh you still here, I almost forgot" she said as she tried coming down from the bed but when her feet touch the ground she felt a sharp pain and was about to fall but strong hands caught her and held her in place so she would not fall. When Camile looked up she saw Caleb's face close to hers. He's very beautiful face staring back at her. Camile felt like she had not seen a more handsome man before so she didn't think that handsome quite fit his description but to say he is beautiful. His eyes were the most beautiful colored Amber eyes she had ever seen although she thought her eyes were the most beautiful his was just as beautiful. While staring at his face his lips started moving and she focused on his lips. His lips had to be the most sexiest in the world, no the whole universe. it looked like a natural or nude colored lip gloss had been applied on his lips but she doubted it. She kept staring at his lips when the word he had said when his lips were moving reached her ears.

"You sprained your ankle and the doctor said you might have some pulled muscles too" he said as he looked at her with a look caught between irritation and amusement when he saw her looking at his face or more quawking and analyzing his handsome face, yeah he knows his handsome and he's proud of his face because while she was staring at his face he was checking her out as well and when he saw the look of admiration in her eyes he had to admit he felt proud and happy he had such amazing face. Camile shook her head to get rid of his thoughts then lifted her off the ground her off the ground and dropped her back on the bed, pointing to her swollen leg which she have not noticed before now he said "you might have pulled out some muscle from it's place so you are not allowed to stand or walk or put pressure on the leg. so until the doctor says you are ok, no standing, walking or running for you.

"Mummy I'm so glad you're ok and it's not that serious" Elena said

"How about her? She's okay right?" Camile asked referring to Elena

"I guess she is luckier than you, she didn't get even a scratch"

"And it's all thanks to mummy. Thank you". Elena said as she gave Camile another hug

"Stop calling her mummy. I told you already your mummy is now an angel and..."

"But you said she's an angel and that she was the most beautiful and that she had soft hair and smelled nice and she (referring to Camile) fits all description" Elena cuts in

"...and if you would let me finish. You can't see angels alright. Angles can't been seen. So stop calling her mummy cause she's not your mummy. You don't have a mummy anymore" He said making the child pull a sad face. But she still said

" I want her as my mummy. You did say you'd consider if I find someone I like and I like her so you have to get her as my mummy. I want her as my mummy" Then turning to Camile she asked "Would you like to be my mummy uhmm... What's your name?"

"Camile. My name is Camile and no I am afraid of your father the tyrant so I can't accept becoming your mummy ok. Now did you guys got my bag from the park, I need to return back home before I'd be declared a missing person. Oh did you happen to see my phone?"

"I took your phone and your bag is in the car. Your phone has been ringing all day, I wouldn't know what to say if I had answered so I didn't answer it." Caleb answered

"It's ok. Can I have my phone? I have to return the calls. They must be freaking out by now, seeing that it is almost dark out" She said looking out the window. "Would I get a bus to Kala town now? Can you please take me to the park so I can get a bus ticket? I'm sorry to disturb you but I have to return home." When Caleb saw that she was about to start panicking he said "I doubt that you would get a bus this late and even if there is one I won't let you leave this late when you can't even stand on your own. You're going to be staying with me until you get better."

"No no no not happening, I have to return home today my else my mother and sister would have a hard time without me. They must be freaking out by now and if I don't return they'll not be happy."

"No way I'm letting you leave today. This happened more or less because of me so you're coming home with me and you'd be staying there at least until you can stand on your own. Besides Elena would enjoy the company. And promise you'd be safe and taken care of."

"Yeah. Camile please come home with us, I'd love the company and I'd love to sleep with you tonight" the child was saying but when her father shot her a glare she stopped talking but moved closer to Camile and gave her hand a squeeze. When Camile reluctantly nodded Caleb turned saying he'd go get the doctor.

Now Camile was seating comfortably in the back seat of the car with Elena while Caleb sat as the driver starting the car ignition he said let's go home now

"Yes Camile now let's go home, I'm so happy there'll be a girl in the house tonight. I'm really excited that I'll have somebody to talk to in the house other than the househelps and dad or Nan Sophia. Oh I know I know we can have a girls night".

"Elena" Caleb called sternly and Elena shut her mouth. Camile was too busy with her thoughts to pay any attention to them. She was sure her mother and sister were very worried now but how is she going to them that she'll be staying with a man and his daughter for days or even a week, her mom would freak out and say she wants to come see her and she doesn't want freaking out cause It will not be good for her health. She took her phone to return her Mom's call after deciding that she will not tell her what happened. When she took her phone she saw 36 missed calls most of which was from her mother and sister and a couple from Simon and the rest was from Lisa, her friend. She dialled her mother's line first and it connected after the first ring, as expected of her mother. She could almost imagine her standing outside the house looking down the Walk way with her phone in her hand as she waited for her daughter to come back home. And she was right because her mother was pacing to and fro in the walkway with her phone in her hand.

"Hello Cam are you alright? You didnt take your calls and you did not return any one either. we are so worried. I've been standing outside waiting for you for close to three hours now. Where are you? Are you ok? What happened?"

"Mom calm down, I'm fine ok and I'm sorry I didn't take your calls and made you worry. I didn't take your calls because I wasn't chanced to take calls that's why"

"Your sister and I were so worried when you didn't take your calls that we had to call Simon and Lisa if either of them could reach you too. How was the interview? Did you get the job? Are you on your way home now?

" No Mom, I'm not on my way home and no the interview didn't go so well and and no I haven't gotten the job yet but I have a rescheduled interview for next week. it may take a week or more to be rescheduled so I'll be staying over here till then but don't worry I'll be fine. How's Celine?"

"Sis are sure you're okay" Celine called out through the phone

" Yes Celine I'm alright and I'll be fine please don't worry ok and just pray I get the job. I'll tell you everything when I get back home alright"

"Ok sis. But where would you be staying for the whole week or so?"

"Oh ah..." looking at Caleb through the mirror as their gaze met her eyes asking silently and when he nodded she said "At a friend's"

" At a friend's? What friend? When did you meet this friend? Male or female? her mother asked as she snatched the phone from Celine

"Mom calm down, she's a female and I met her today after the interview. Her name is Elena, when I told her about where I came from she offered to let me stay with her for the period of rescheduling the interview because she applied for a job in the same company and since the interview is likely going to be on the same day we could go together and after that I can leave"

"She sounds like a nice girl. But even so be careful ok my child"

"Yes ma'am and you don't need to worry. I'll send you the address so you can locate me when you don't hear from me"

"Yes that'd be good. Send my regards"

"Yes Mom I'll send your regards. Ok Mom I have to go now. You guys should take care of yourselves till I come back home. Mom don't forget to take your drugs accordingly and eat well ok. Celine don't slack off your duties and take care of Mom."

"Well whatever I might as well start slacking off now since you're not here. But you know I won't I'm just as strong and determined as you"

"Hmmm I doubt that you as strong or as determined as I am, I am much more stronger than you."

"Oh yeah I can't wait for you to come back home and see what I would have achieved. I may not overwork myself like you do but I hope to achieve even a little of what you have"

"Now that's the spirit. Make sure you do better than me ok"

"Alright sis bye take care of you too. Bye"

"Camile make sure you rest well with this one week opportunity given to you as you don't have to take care of business here don't overwork yourself or stay up all night ok. Don't worry about us we'll be fine. Take care my child."

"Bye Mom" then she hung up.

Because the phone was loud everyone in the car had heard their conversation so Elena asked " I am the friend you mentioned?"

"Yes baby it's you and my Mom said to say hi to you"

"Oh love you and your mom too I'm so happy you called me your friend"

"Uhm miss..." Caleb started

"Camile Anderson but Camile is fine"

"Miss Anderson,you'd be staying in my house until you are able to leave on your own and I promise your safety is assured you don't have to feel insecure."

"Ok" Camile replied

"You would love the place"Elena said

"What's your name tyrant father?" sigh this lady sure knows how to piss him off

"Please my name is Caleb Campbell"

"Ok Caleb"

"Shouldn't it be Mr Campbell to you?"

"No it's either Caleb or tyrant father. With nothing to refute her with he sighed and the rest of the ride home was silent.
