We were all seated on the blanket now.

With Michelle's new friend, Eden, next to her.

After I had called Michelle to come and eat, she'd ran to us with us with Eden behind her.

Huge smiles etched on their faces.

Shocked, I'd looked to Gabriel and Mrs. Vee for assistance when I'd ask Eden where her parents were, and like a true knight, Gabriel had came to my aid by signing to her and asking her where her parents were, and who she came with.

And there was just something hot in watching a huge man like Gabriel, squatting next to her, murmuring softly while signing to the little girl with a small smile.

He was such a softie with kids, and it got me all mushy and soft as well.

Now we were all devouring Mrs. Vee's sandwiches.
