THREE YEARS LATER...

I was taking a walk through the garden towards the back of the pack house because my feet hurt and I needed to visit Ethan. It was swollen and Elena advised that I took as many walks as I could to alleviate the pain.

I was due to give birth any moment from now and was not supposed to wander too far from the pack house but Elaine was with me.

“Mom, are you okay? Do you need to sit for a minute?” He asked worriedly as I wobbled for a minute.

“No, I’m fine. I need to stop sitting down every time.” I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer to me.

When we got to where Ethan was buried, Elaine wandered off with Indigo leaving me alone. There was a chair beside the grave from the last time I visited.

“Hey, Ethan. I came to say goodbye. I’m going to have a baby soon and I’ve decided to let go of my past, including you. I should have listened to Zion about not burying you here in the pack house but then I was desperate and wanted to hold on to the only family
