Chapter thirty nine

"What were you thinking Landon?" Zoe asked hotly, her anger evident in the flaring of her nostrils.

"I did what I wanted and who are you to question my decisions?" Landon snapped back at her.

"You ask who I am? I am your Luna! The Luna of Moon shadow pack!" Zoe exclaimed.

"A Luna and not an Alpha!" Landon screamed back, angrily.

The two bantering couples were in their very own bedroom getting ready for sleep. The air between the Alpha and his Luna had been tensed in the last few days and the visit from Alpha Nathan was the last straw that broke the camel's back.

"You disgust me..." Zoe spat out at Alpha Landon. "My father....."

"Oh shocks....!" Landon cut her off before she could finish. "It's always about your father!! That's why you had to fire Jasper, isn't it? Nobody fit for the role except perfect daddy?"

"You will talk about my father with respect," Zoe warned with a trembling voice.

"Or what Zoe! I am the Alpha and I can do whatever the heck I am." Landon replied firmly.
