LISA'S POV

"What just happened to me, Jonas?" I ask with a tremor in my voice.

Putting my fingers tenderly on the spot which has been burning up a few minutes ago. I braced myself for the pain but I felt nothing, it was as if that moment had been erased from history. My neck felt cool but the bite mark was still there. Although it had closed up. Was this how being expired felt? I hadn't noticed any visible change yet, I could still feel my wolf within me and that was a big bonus.

It was as if being expired didn't require you to undergo any physical change. I had half expected to look every inch of my hundred and twenty-one years on earth. For now, being the first expired wolf felt like an incredible achievement for someone who had given up on life less than two days ago.
