Sabastian Belmount, the current Alpha of the New Haven pack, sits at his desk going over the papers of the new arrival to their pack. He had given the task to his Beta, Shane, who seems to have other things on his mind.
Sabastian signs the bottom of both contracts in black ink, rolls them up before tying them with a red string, then burning them in the green flames of the hearth. He watches as the ash blows in the sudden yet gentle breeze. A sign that the gods and fates have accepted the recent additions to the pack and will hold them to their oath.
He sits back in his chair and looks out to the morning sun that is peeking out from behind a random cloud. He folds his arms behind his head, trying to relax from his duties. But as always it is short-lived. There is a loud crashing sound, then yelling.
"You worthless, son of a bi*ch!!'' He can hear his father yelling. He knows it must have been one of his younger brothers.
Growing up, he never understood
Hey guys, hope you are enjoying the story. So here is a filler until I upload the next chapter. I hope you don't feel confused. This chapter and the next will be in the Alpha's POV. Should we ship the Alpha and Riveria? Let me know.
Not knowing what to do, Sabastian sits with his head in his hands, as everything seems to be in shambles. Word has already gotten out about the few deaths that he was trying to keep on the low until he could figure things out. At first, he didn't know who was the one to spread the rumours, until one of Shane's many flings come into the office crying and begging for his forgiveness. And of course, his Beta is missing in action, he is either out with some unmated female, causing trouble or is at the center of some drama. His only option is to go talk to Alberta, the old hog that has the gift of foresight. Ignoring his father and brother with their regular fights, he makes his way out the front door, then quickly drifts to the left, taking a different path than he usually does. He turns his mind link off and tries to mask his scent. He breaks into a jog down the path and through the dense forest that leads to the slump part of Havendale. He fight
Instead of figuring out what or who is killing off members of his pack, Sabastian watches as things get worse. They now forced him to order everyone to stay home until they can catch the wolf. Of course, not everyone is on board with it. And his pack members went on with their regular activities. "You are being too nice son, maybe you learned little from me but just one roar or maybe just one thug in their minds and they will be the perfect little slaves.'' Edward says, an ugly smile creeps on his face as he said it. ''We are nothing alike Edward, you might be my father, but all you are was just a man that got my mother pregnant. Now leave.'' Sabastian points to the door. Edward laughs, before closing the door he leaves a little remark ''well maybe if you were like me, our pack wouldn't be disobeying you and you would have had pups already.'' Sabastian didn't need reminding that he has no mate, he knows that she is out there and is willing to
Dressed in a pair of black skin-tight ripped jeans, and a green tank top, the now eighteen-year-old Riviera makes her way to the very back of Myth class, away from the twenty-seven other students, and to where the lights weren't so bright. She places her bag on the floor and her head on the desk, where her long chestnut colour hair spills all over the desktop, and almost brushing the ground. Today her hair looks stringy and greasy as usual and needs a trim, but she is never one to be fussy about her appearance, her hair, or anything for that matter. Unlike everyone else or her mother, for example. Mary-Kate is always the one to go shopping, to keep up with the latest trends, wear makeup and also trying to break Riviera into the same things. She would often compare her daughter to other young ladies in the pack, but apologize whenever
Riviera makes sure to go in the direction of her house, to make it more believable to Kylie that she is going home. She then throws her bag pack in her usual spot then runs as fast as she can towards her secret spot. Her wolf has been begging to be released for some time now, and she will allow him just that. She never questioned why her wolf is a man because more frightening than that, is him telling her to burn the village, or kill everyone. Even though Riviera knows to inform her mother of this, she fears of what she might say or do, and not to mention the Alpha might get involved. She has seen what he did to a wolf a couple of months back. She doesn't want that same treatment. Riviera dodges a tree as she speeds by. The cool evening wind blows back her hair and feels great on her skin. Soon enough she isn't sweaty and clammy anymo
The next morning Riviera wakes up at the same time her mother does. With the intention of not going to school, she watches from her bed the 6:15 sunrise. She thought of using her slight head injury to get out of going to school, forgetting that her mother's ability is healing. "Mom, my head still hurts," Riviera groans as she enters her mother's room. Her mother places a hand on her head. Riviera could feel the warm tingles as her powers take effect. "Better?'' Her mother asks, then turns back to her mirror to add the final touches to her make-up. Riviera's face turns sour as she makes her way back to her room while thinking up a plan on how not to go to school. She sulks the entire time she gets ready, already predicting that today, a day she hates and knows all too well, won't be any good for her. She just hopes that she isn't called on or draws attention to herself. Riviera mumbles a goodbye to her mother and the maid, wishing that
“First up, Erich.” Beta Shane announces. Riviera rolls her eyes. Of course, he would make the Alpha’s brother go first. Typical, and of course, Erich opens his arms waiting for everyone to cheer him on, which they did, boosting his ego making it bigger than it needs to be. "Such a poser.'' Kylie whispers, something flashes across her face, and she makes a face trying to cover it up. "I wish I could rip him apart." She adds, still with the look on her face. Neither Riviera nor Jeremiah respond, both caught up in their own thoughts and worries. Erich claps his hands together as a cocky smile spreads across his face. ''Bring it.'' He licks his lips, he winks at no one in particular. Shane obviously doesn't like Erich and wasn't afraid to show his displeasure, he sighs as he makes his way over to the lights to turn them down, then over to a trunk that has something rattling inside, being impatient in wanting to get out. A technique that they
"Riviera, wait," she could hear Jeremiah's voice behind her, but she didn't stop running. Her wolf is in control now, putting thoughts in her head and promising her a better life once they have bonded. "Just imagine it. We will be an unstoppable force. You can reclaim what is rightfully mine and you won't be a nobody anymore. The respect you'll get, the honour you deserve.'' Riviera, not in her right mind, agreed with all her wolf says, maybe it is full time she showed this pack, full time she stops getting bullied by her peers and shows them all. "Yes child, we'll show them you are not a late bloomer but a conqueror.'' Riveria runs until her eyes water and the
“I think that girl is hiding something. I think that maybe, just maybe, she has powers and is just hiding it, that earthquake and explosions happen the exact moment she got angry and reacted.” Shane states. He hasn't stopped blabbing about the entire situation all day. Sabastian sits in his chair and rubs at his clean shaved chin, “I don’t think she could have caused such an explosion or an earthquake of that magnitude." "What? A fifty feet long and twenty feet deep crack opened up in the ground and you're telling me that you don't think it is her.” Shane waves his hands around. "No." Sabastian simply replies. "Are you kidding me? If her powers are out of control it could have, she could cause anything if she's unstable!" Sh
