“Oh my goodness! You look stunning. Sorry to say this, but you look more beautiful than the bride herself.”

I couldn't hold back my chuckle. This was the first time I had smiled ever since the death of my parents.

“I don't know about beauty, and sadly, I don't care about it now,” I blurted out, way before I realized what I had said.

“I'm so sorry, that wasn't meant to slip.”

“You don't need to apologize. Though I didn't know your story, I can assure you that everything's going to be okay,” the sales clerk said. Now that I look at her closely, she looks so much my age.

“What's your name?” I asked, curiously.

“My bad, I should have introduced myself earlier. My name is, Anna, I uhm, actually own this place!” Anna said with a crinkled nose.
