chapter 24

Point of view, Kiara...

I opened the front door of the house, my heart was beating very fast, I was afraid and anxious, I had never dared to face my grandmother before.

When I entered she was sitting on a piece of furniture looking straight at the window, and especially looking directly at the vampires that were in front of her house.

She had a cup of tea in her hands, sipping the liquid delicately.

She looked at me coldly, and then shouted angrily, "Who do you think you are, to bring vampires into my house?"

I was trembling and staring at the floor.

"Answer me you stupid bitch, don't you know that vampires are our worst enemies, those damn blood sucking pests killed millions of our kind, and you still dare to bring them to my house," She screams even louder, while throwing the cup in my face.

That mug smashed my forehead, causing it to bleed, my blood dripping one drop after another onto the carpet of the main entrance.

I finally dared to answer her questions, "Grandmother, I brought them because we are all in danger, we need your help and that of the coven, thousands of our kind will suffer again if we don't help them," I lifted my face, and stared into her eyes.

She knew that what I was telling her was absolutely the whole truth, whether she liked the idea or not, it was what it was.

She clenched her fists tightly, and says with a lot of spite, "You are as naive and irresponsible as your bitch of a mother, I don't understand why she left you in my house, maybe that damn, she knew the trouble you would bring us, and wanted to get out of the matter before it happened, damn wretch why did she have to kill herself?"

"I don't know grandma, and I don't intend to keep listening to your offenses either, if you don't plan to help me that's fine, any other stranger will do it, it was always like that, even when you left me in the orphanage abandoned to my fate, I always had to depend on myself, you never wanted to take care of me, and I understand it wasn't your responsibility, but you don't know how horrible it felt for me to have been abandoned not only by my mother but also by my only family," I shouted at him while crying, I didn't want to bear any more of his offenses, I had to take care of Ariana, she was the only friend and sister I had, the others always abandoned me, starting with my father.

I started walking towards the stairs.

She shouted annoyed, "What are you planning to do, where are you going, we haven't finished talking."

I just turned and said almost in a whisper, "I'm done talking to you, I have nothing more to say."

I went upstairs and went to my room, I looked for a bag with clothes, my broom to fly, and I went to look for my mother's spell book, it was so big that it didn't fit in my bag, I had to carry it in my arms, I put in another bag some positions and went downstairs, if she wouldn't help me, I would do it alone.

My grandmother was furious, when I opened the front door, she yelled at me, "Where are you going, your mother's book will not leave this house,"

I turned around still with the door open, and firmly replied, "The book is mine, whether you like it or not I will leave this house with this book."

As I turned around and was about to continue on my way, I felt my body fly and hit my head against the wall, the book fell to the floor, and would not open, I yelled at him with the little strength I had left, "Let me go, let me go,"

She said almost in a whisper, "We'll see how much your vampire loves you by watching you get beaten and bleed to death because of him."

I began to feel one blow after another, weakening me.

I fainted from so many blows and so much blood I saw flowing from my body.

Point of view, Claus...

I could smell the blood of my girl, fall to the floor, hear the screams, I despaired, I could not resist anymore, I started to hit the barrier with great force, so much that even my sister helped me, we heard how the barrier cracked.

My sister told me by telekinesis, "We must have a plan or that damn will kill us and your girlfriend," I replied, "I don't care about plans, I just want to save Kiara, let's finish breaking this damn barrier," We began to hit harder and harder, until we managed to break it.

I could feel the woman's stress when she heard her magical barrier break, my sister went to the other side, and I decided to attack her head on with speed.

She had hidden somewhere in the house, and when I entered to take Kiara out, I felt the first blow of a shockwave.

The blow was so strong that it hit me against the wall, I felt as if my organs were going to detach from my body.
