Josh POV
I smelled her before she even stepped foot in the ballroom. Honeysuckles, apricots, and jasmine tickled my nose. I had been waiting for the annual unmated ball that the Alpha and Luna, King and Queen held every 5 years to see if my mate was there. So glad I don’t have to wait for this mock ball Augustus has tried to throw these last 10 years. They have been pure torture to attend. Many of the she-wolves are married and unhappy. It is no longer living up to its purpose to help unmated find their true mates. But my wolf has done nothing but howl in my head with delight over finding our mates scent here today. She must truly be divinely special if she is here for this occasion. I hope my Luna will love my people as much as I will love hers.
