Chapter 2

Out of the dark part or the room comes out a wolf that the big boss knows very well. He is surprised to know they have found him, not again! He will never return to the pack. He have lived with the humans long enough to know who they are and became one. He knows humans respect money and power! He is both now, so humans respect him. Well, respect is not the appropriate word, they fear him more than they respect him. He don't really care!

The big boss growled. This wolf is not welcome in his territory. After his pack killed his mate because his mate is from another pack, he will never ever return to them. His wolf was so heartbroken that he radio silenced him for years. He don't answer his calls anymore and he don't blame Pine, he felt his pain too.

"What are you doing here?" Don asked, not masking how he dislike the intruder.

"To bring you home!" Grass answered. He was his beta.

Don wants to refer to them past tense as they are a thing of the past now. His wolf has left him after their mate died, Pine blamed Adam for Athena's death, he is right to blame him as he failed to protect their mate. He deserves to be punished, he deserves to be abandoned by it's own wolf.

Adam never thought an Alpha could lost it's wolf but it did happen to him. The pack elders asked him to claim a new wolf but he did not. He choose Pine for a reason.

Don laughed, his beta felt the emptiness of that laugh. "Without a wolf, what am I? A laughing stock of the pack?"

Grass let Simon take control. "You are still the Alpha. The elders are thinking of doing a ritual to appease Pine and gain it's forgiveness."

"It's too late, Pine passed away."

"There's no way an Alpha wolf could be so weak to pass away so easily!"

"There's no way I am ever returning to the pack! You are all heartless! You think I'm weak because I love truthfully! What is life without love? I am romantic, you are all apathetic! I don't belong to the pack don't you realise that? I have already accepted my reality and hopefully you do too! I cut off whatever ties I have with you, now please go before my men find a four legged animal in my office!"

Outside the room, the big boss' men start to assemble.

"They won't hesitate to shoot you with a silver bullet!"

"How can you turn your back on us?" Simon growled right after he shifted to a wolf.

"I'm not the traitor! It was you all who killed my mate! If you did not kill her, Pine could still be with me now!"

Right after Don said that, he pressed the button to open the door. His men were taken aback to see a big wolf in the room but they bravely entered the room to protect the big boss who remained seated in his chair as if seeing a wolf in his office is a normal thing. The men fired right away and chased the four legged animal out of the building.

Don is relieved his beta is gone but he also knows the pack don't give up easily. For the next Alpha to ascend they must kill him, if he don't return to the pack.

But there is no turning back now after he abandoned the pack for years, not especially after they referred to him as the traitor.
