CHAPTER 3

CARLA

"I can't believe I allowed him to sleep with me again. Why didn't I resist him?"

I sat in my room in the morning, thinking about last night's intimacy with Diego.

I've been unable to sleep properly after Mom returned from her date. Diego has just been on my mind.

That man didn't miss a chance of getting me under his spell. He has this irresistible charm that gets me hook to him once his body comes in contact with mine.

"What can I do?!" I groaned, falling back into bed.

KNOCK! KNOCK!!

"Clara, aren't you going to school today?" Mom asked from outside my room.

I sighed, remembering that I still have to get ready to head to Crescent College.

Another stressful place to be in.

"I'm coming. Will be ready soon," I said, dragging myself out of bed.

"Okay sweetheart. I made you a sandwich. Don't forget to eat before leaving," Mom said, distancing from my room.

I went into the bathroom, shutting the door from behind.

.

"See you later dear, " Mom said, dropping me at school.

I watched her drive off in her car, before I went through the gate, and into the building.

Crescent College, one of the best universities in the country. Only students with strong mind come to this place to learn, and I happen to be among them.

But lately, that joy I once had for this school has disappeared into thin air. And it's all thanks to Pedro and Jessica.

Those two ruined that school magic with their affairs, and it's because of them that I'm close to that annoying billionaire.

"Argh! I don't want to think about him! " I groaned, trying to take Diego out of my head.

Why did I bring him up?

His name alone reminds me of his tempting and hot body.

I still find it amusing that a man like him has such a figure hidden under his boring suit. Who knows how women will act if they happen to lay their eyes on it?

"Argh! I'm thinking of him again! Clear your mind! Just clear your mind!" I tapped my head, getting into class.

The first lecture came to an end after an hour. I immediately took my bag, exiting the class room for the cafeteria when suddenly, someone pulled me to the corner roughly.

"What the hell?!" I sparked, pulling my arm from the grip of this person.

When I looked, I gasped on seeing Pedro.

"You?" I uttered, surprise to see he's here in school.

He's the rich kid that hates to stay around in school. The bad boy that gets many girls tripping for him.

"What the hell is this, Carla?" He questioned, taking out his phone to show me a photo of me in bed with Diego. But Diego's face isn't showing.

I had taken a screenshot of the perfect scene in the video and sent it to Pedro that same night I caught him with Jessica.

I thought he wasn't going to react to it, but it turns out that someone has been boiling his brain for long.

"You dare to sleep with another man?"

"And how's that your problem?" I questioned, putting on a bold face, getting Pedro angry.

"You were busy enjoying that new girlfriend of yours, calling me useless. So, I said, why don't this useless girl make herself useful."

"By sleeping with another man?" He groaned, grabbing me by the arm tightly.

When I felt his grip, I forcefully pulled his hand off me, showing him my anger.

"I am your boyfriend, Carla. How dare you betary me for another man?"

"It's now you know you're my boyfriend? What about Jessica? Did you tell her that when you were riding her sorry ass at the hotel? No, you didn't," I said, reminding him of his action.

"You are the one who betrayed me, Pedro. I loved you but you chose to hurt me and go for that cheer leader! Tell me, who's the betrayal?" I questioned, standing confidently.

I felt bold expressing my anger at Pedro. But that courage vanished when Jessica showed up.

Her arms came around Pedro from behind, kissing him on the cheek in my front. That weakened me in a flash.

"My love, is this annoying brat bothering you? " Jessica asked, getting all cozy with Pedro while holding him.

I see Pedro welcoming Jessica's hold by returning the kiss back to her.

Sadness took over me, that I felt like leaving them alone.

"Where do you think you're going to?" Jessica questioned, dragging me back.

"What happened to the fire I saw not too long? Did it quench when you met your match?" Jessica bragged, smirking at me.

I see Pedro's eyes shining with delight, as he smiled at Jessica.

I felt hurt, slowly stepping away from them. But Jessica still won't budge.

"Don't leave yet. We still have a lot to talk about, Carla," She said, about to grab me back.

That's when the unexpected happened.

The moment Jessica's hand came at me, a hand from behind got hold of it, tossing it aside.

I see Pedro's eyes going wide in shock along with Jessica.

When I turned back, I'm left stunned to find Diego beside me.

What's he doing here?

"Diego?" Pedro called, looking stunned to find his friend in our school.

"Diego Smith," I heard Jessica mutter.

"So, are they the ones who have been bothering you lately?" Diego asked, drawing closer to me.

I felt my body shivering at his presence, that I had to nod to his question.

He hummed, looking straight at Pedro with that creepy green eyes of his.

"The last person I expect to cause Carla any problem in this school is you, Pedro," He said, pointing at his friend.

This is surprising. Did he come here to see Pedro or me?

"Since when did you and Carla become friends, Diego? As far as I remember, Carla can't stand you for a second," Pedro asked, glancing at me.

"I'm curious to know when all this friendship began."

"Don't think I'm here to joke around Pedro. Stay off my sister or you'll regret it."

"Sister?!" Jessica and Pedro chorused shocked.
