Chapter 5 (lemon)

"I think I will be taking my leave now," he said and turned around. "I'm Justin Lemon, by the way," He told me and I giggled slightly, he had the name of a fruit.

"Nice name," I said smirking and he chuckled.

"I know, I get that a lot," he said and I smiled, we'd just known each other for barely ten minutes and it felt like I'd known him for long.

"What department are you in?" I asked and he ran his hand through his hair.

"Criminology," he told me and I became surprised, he didn't look like it, he looked like he was in the pharmacy department--that was the den of hot boys, while in the criminology department only geeks and bookworms type of boys that were there.

"That's nice, what level are you cause this is the first time I am seeing you here?" I did not know everyone in school but I was familiar with most students' faces, and I had never seen his face before.

"300 and I'm a transfer student." He was on the same level as I am! He was a transfer student just like Luke! But he was more friendly and better than Luke

I was sure that I hadn't seen him before in this school, he was new here and he was so nice and handsome, his black leather jacket, black jeans and brown leather boots gave him this bad boy look, that was why I was shocked when he told me he was in a criminology department.

"Nice to meet you Lemon the fruit," I teased and he glared at me.

"Don't try that," he warned with his Spanish accent and I giggled. I love Spanish guys--the handsome ones--they were so dreamy with their heavenly accents.

"Oh yes, I will, Lemon," I said stubbornly and he rolled his eyes.

He sighed and shook his head. "Okay I give up, you can call me whatever you want." He turned around and began walking away, "Goodbye mi belle, we shall see some other time?" He waved at me as he walked and I waved back slowly.

He disappeared into the crowd and as soon as he left I felt lonely once more, I did not know why I felt so comfortable and happy when talking with Lemon even though I barely knew him, he was better than Luke, Luke was so dense and rude.

I wonder where he was now. I turned to where Luke was talking to those girls, but he was not there, probably he was making out with those girls when I was talking with Lemon and now they were in a room doing some nasty stuff.

I shrugged and turned, I didn't want to think about all they would do there if now I was going to throw up. I stood up from the bar stool and went out of the building, I was tired of the loud music and the bright lights, I couldn't get used to them no matter how long I stayed in there.

As soon as I stepped outside I was welcomed by a gentle breeze which made strands of my hair dance. I rubbed my hands against my skin a little, the night was quite cold, but it was better here than the party, here was serene and smelled nice.

I checked my phone and it was almost eleven at night and I wanted to go home but I doubted that there would be any taxi by this time. I was all alone here, I was glad that the street had lights which made here brighter, if it didn't I would not have been able to stay here. I hated the dark.

I heard footsteps coming from behind and I hid myself. It was Luke and just as usual his face was as stony as the Great Wall of China.

What was he up to?

My jaw dropped to the ground when I saw him entering a crimson red 2023 convertible Ferrari 812 GTS. This beast had a 6.5 litres V-12 engine and it could reach over 100mph in less than ten seconds and it cost over five hundred thousand dollars. The street lights reflected on the car's metallic body making it super shiny.

I have been a car person, since I was little I have loved cars, especially sports cars, but I didn't have any--I didn't even know how to drive! I read a lot of car magazines and watched Racing sports, I was planning on saving up for a decent sports car, but that would take me years to accomplish because of how expensive they were.

If Luke could afford this type of car as a student that means he was wealthy or he came from a very rich family.

The more I thought about him the more I wanted to know more about him. He was strange and I didn't know why I was drawn to him.

He ignited his car engine and the once quiet street became noisy with the exhaust sound of his car. The sound of the car was so loud and nice.

That's a five hundred thousand Ferrari for you.

He pulled the car out of its packing space with incredible speed and zoomed off.

Where was he going? I wondered.

'To his house, you idiot,' my subconscious mind yelled and I face-palmed myself. I was so disappointed in myself for being so engrossed with Luke, I wanted to get him off my mind, but it wasn't as easy as it looked.

I sighed.

Luke wasn't important to me now, what was important was how I would leave this place. I could still hear the muffled noises coming from the frat house and I knew Emily was still there probably dancing like a crazy ostrich and on her fifth bottle of bear.

There was no way I would go back to that building, I wanted to go home, but it wasn't possible because there were no taxis and my apartment was almost twenty minutes drive from here, there was no way I could walk to my apartment, especially in this time of the day.

I was quite frustrated and clueless about what to do. While still in my train of thought a white 2023 Mercedes-Benz C class, stopped in front of me.

The car windows were tinted and I couldn't see who was in the car, I began wondering who it was.

The car window slowly wound down, revealing a smiling Justin...don't tell me he was this rich too? Not every 'normal' student couldn't afford a car like this. Emphasis on normal.

"Do you care if I give you a ride, mi belle?" He asked and my eyes widened. This was what I wanted, a way to go home but I was sceptical about this, I had little trust in him, we only knew each other for two hours. It was normal not to trust strangers.

I sighed.

"Thanks, I'll love it if you did," I chirped and he grinned. Gosh, he was so handsome.

"Then what are you waiting for? Hop in, mi belle." The car door opened stylishly and I entered. I was welcomed by the chilling whirls of air coming from the A.C. and the sweet smell of strawberries air freshener. The interior was very nice and my jaw dropped when I saw the dashboard lined with gold? Not only the dashboard but most of the interior of the car was lined with gold, because of the gold and quality leather this car could be worth not less than four hundred thousand dollars.

He was just a student!

"Are you alright, mi belle?" He asked me when he noticed that I had just frozen in one spot. I snapped out of my trance and smiled.

"I'm fine," I told him smiling and put on the safety belts. I do not joke with safety.

"Okay, mi belle." He said and shifted the car gear, the car began moving and in less than a minute the frat house was out of sight.

I knew Emily was going to kill me for leaving her behind and the thought of it made me worried.

Lemon asked for my house address and I told him, I didn't know whether I did the right thing by telling him my house address, but I did not care about it much, I just wanted to go home.

I rested my head on the car window and slept off.
