POV Lance

I knelt down behind a bush as I kept my eyes in the alpha Jack, waiting for his signal. Samantha was supposed to link him just The ceremony was starting so we could make our move. We had been watching the door to the dungeon for almost an hour and everything seemed to be going according to plan.

I was relieved and worried when we watched a majority of the guards leave about twenty minutes ago. That would make our job easier but make Shimon and Samantha's situation that much harder. I was hopeful that this rescue operation would go quickly so I could go assist my mate. I exchanged a look with both her brothers that told me that they felt the same way. I knew that Shimon had vowed to keep Samantha safe and I knew what a good fighter she was but I also knew that the numbers were stacked against them. Plus, Samantha wasn't really the type to other's fight for her. Shimon wouldn't be able to keep her out of the battle for long. We all knew that except maybe for Shimon himself.
