Chapter 1

Amy's POV

"$2000!"

"$10,000!"

The laughter and screams from every man in this bar make me sick. I never thought my life would end here at a bar auctioning off girls.

“$1,000,000.”

Suddenly the room falls silent as the bid comes in. Does a man want to buy me for one million dollars? Is he insane?

"Who said that?!"

My father, the seller, yells loudly and climbs onto the bar. Yes, you heard that right; I am being sold by my father to pay off all his debts. I hate this useless man! His life got even more chaotic after my mother's death.

"I, I will buy this girl."

A man with sharp and sunken eyes, pale lips, and white skin emerges among the bar-goers. He approaches us and looks at me cynically.

He is very handsome, but he also looks like a ghost. He hands over money in a suitcase. I panic, especially when he puts his arm around my shoulder to take me away.

"No, Daddy! Help me!"

His grip on my shoulder is so firm I feel like a cat being thrown away.

"Dad!”

“I'm sorry, Amy. Go with him, he is our savior!”

My father didn't budge; he smiled, engrossed in staring at the pile of money in the suitcase. Meanwhile, this man continued to lead me toward the exit, accompanied by screams from other visitors.

Where will he take me? Why? Why do I have to get this terrible thing?

**

"Akh!"

The man pushed my body roughly into a classic black sedan. Somehow, I had a hunch that he would kill me. I couldn't stop crying, especially after the car started moving.

"Can you please stop your crying?"

I swallowed my saliva. The man's voice was much scarier now than when he made the bar offer. And this makes my tears flow even faster.

"I said, stop. Your crying makes my ears hurt!"

The man snapped at me and glared at me. My body is shaking; I'm scared. I dared to glance at it.

Whether it was the light's reflection or his eyes were a strange color, I found that the man's eyeballs were deep red.

"Once again, if you cry, I will not hesitate to throw your body out."

His threat managed to silence me. I surrender; I do not know where he will take me now. What is clear, the road we passed was tranquil and filled with dense forest.

I've never passed this way. Did he want to kill me? This lonely place is undoubtedly the right choice to kill someone. After all, he bought me with a million dollars; you could say my life right is already on him.

How about this? I don't want to die. I still have lots of things to do.

"What's your name?"

"Amy…. Diaz."

No further conversation. Silence fell in the middle of the night. The bright moonlight accidentally shone on this mysterious man's face; I noticed that his veins were showing beneath his snow-white skin. Surprisingly, the veins on that face were bright red like fresh blood.

Honestly, I'm getting scared. Especially when a magnificent large building was seen before us on a high hill; this place was like another world I had never been to.

The luxurious jet-black gate opened when the car approached a short distance. The road to the luxury building was still quite long, with sharp inclines and bends.

Forests and ravines are on this asphalt road's left and right sides. Yes, I just realized that since entering the gate, the road that used to be dirt has changed to smooth asphalt. Amazing.

Whoever the man who took me now, I'm sure he is very wealthy. And I'm so resigned to death that it seems so close.

**

Five minutes passed, and the car was parked in front of the magnificent building; the man immediately got off, and I followed him from behind. This luxurious building is so cold; it's like walking into a refrigerator at the highest temperature.

This man stepped quickly toward a staircase in the middle of the room. No one was seen to be in this mansion.

We passed through a long hallway on the second floor with paintings of women and men in royal-style clothes hanging on the walls. The dark hallway and the moonlight shining through the ventilation slits somehow gave off an impression of both horror and luxury.

A black wooden door then appeared ahead; I assumed this was our destination. My heart is like being beaten by a thousand adults; it can't be explained in words.

The man stopped walking and turned to me. "Come in," he said.

The cold and murderous look in his sunken eyes gave me goosebumps; I lowered my eyes and entered the room.

One large bed with light from a torch is hanging on the wall. This room is like a room of exile in the era of the BC kingdom. I don't know what will happen here; the man closed the door by slamming it.

I'm nervous. I dare not look back.

"Amy, are you ready?"

The man whispered in my ear. His voice was like poison spreading into the blood. My chest feels tight, especially when the man's breath feels so close to my neck.

"It's the time; I can't stand sucking your blood, Amy."

Reflexively, I turned my head and found that the man was about to bite my neck with his long fangs.

"KYAA!"

I pushed the guy's body until he almost fell. I panicked abysmal. I glanced at the door and intended to run away, but the man moved his hand towards the door until I heard the sound of a locked door.

"You can't run, Amy. I've bought your body. You're mine now. I don't have time to play hide and seek; shut up and take it easy."

"No! Don't you dare to touch me!"

The man grinned horribly and suddenly appeared before me while embracing my body.

"KYAA! Get off me, psycho!"

I smacked his chest, but that didn't make him go away. His head is getting closer to my neck; his long fangs are so terrible, and the hollows of his eyes are also turning black.

"Ouch!"

The man released his grip shortly after I hit his head with my forehead.

"Damn it, Amy. It looks like you need the rough method."

My body suddenly slammed into the corner of the room. The man quickly jumped in front of me. I'm locked up; I can no longer move, and my body also aches. He gripped my hand hard.

My tears started flowing profusely; the only thing I could do was cry and start to whine at him. "I beg you, don't kill me. Please! I'll do whatever it takes; please don't kill me!"

His grip slowly loosened. I dared to open my eyes and found that the man was now standing with his face back to normal.

He looked at me intently and just walked away.
